Yup it works great with the Harrop rubber tube! Been running it for a while now. The angle is basically exactly the same as the stock box, just a larger diameter MAF tube. The weird magnuson snout angle is why they provide the funky angled intake tube for the magnuson. It’s actually more natural for the Harrop.

    That would be perfect.

Enough room for a SABM or Stillen snorkel?

I did the SABM with it. Not sure how the stillen tube goes through the engine bay but I would imagine it would be doable.

I think it’ll work just need an angled rubber hose should be fine.

I was in contact with the person who was helping with the Afe box yes. Nothing new to report there. They’re still working on it not sure when it’ll be released

Stillen tube on the maggy box was tried but the tube lands above the filter on the lid not the lower box.

It doesn't work! That's why I sold my stillen tube to Reys. The Stillen tube lines up with the top half of the Maggy box, bypassing the air filter.

Yes I saw that late last night/this morning on the SC super thread. I was going to cross link here but you addressed the fundamental question. Thank you.

@19PlatinumCrew if you don't go with the Maggie box (which won't allow mounting the Stillen snorkel) and you decide to keep Stillen air box you'll have to talk to Nat Speed what size custom tube you'll need if they will support modding. MRP sells a 3.75" ID (might be too small) and a 4.0" ID (might be difficult to find a correctly sized reducer coupler to go from 4.25" OD to stock TB).

At that point I would just get the Lexus TB and go with the 4.25" ID tube. You can skip the out of stock coupler and mount the roofing flasher to the box to make it air tight (or whatever other sealing method you choose). You can also skip the roofing flasher and just insert a panel with a duct coupler inside the box and call it a day. This would basically look similar to a SABM. That leaves finding a TB coupler and mounting the filter inside.

I still think just getting an off the shelf Maggie box is much easier to deal with. You need just enough intake (Maggie) not the biggest intake.

So does the filter slope/angle down from passenger to driver meaning the filter sits higher on the passenger side? Dirty side is low passenger, filtered air is top driver side? Sorry haven't looked at the inside of one in a while.

Sitting at national speed. Should be out of here by 2 pm. Lunch then final walk around and test drive before heading home to south jersey (4.5 hours). I’ll do a full write up afterwards.

Good question, haven't looked in a few months. I think high side is passenger, sloping down towards driver's side. But relatively flat for the most part.

So the stillen front tube lines up with the top right side of the Maggy box, post air filter. Actually kinda in the middle of top and bottom, but mostly top

Forget username but Fireman did a 30* intake tube into the Maggy box, and added a conical filter. THEN you could use the stillen tube into the Maggy box after some finagling

I think at this point I will just ask the questions at National Speed about fabbing a connection to the Stillen, then we will go from there but I think I will have to go with the maggie box if they can't or won't be able to use my Stillen. Looks like you guys will probably have a way to make it work before I even place my Harrop order

Looking at the TRD top compared to the Maggy top, is the TRD lid taller?? Appears that way

was stuck until 3 in VA. Hit a wall of traffic in DC and then some light traffic near Baltimore. GPS took me route 1 back to Del Memorial Bridge. Boy was it a looooong drive. Glad to be back home. Thank you!
