Now that we know Stillen will sell the nozzle separately, this is way cleaner than the fuckery I came up with and you used less parts. AND it is gilded in gold!

Aside from the foam parts needed to seal the PS edges by the fender, it looks like you've got a duct coupler, silicone coupler, and the Stillen nozzle. The 3" couplers needed for this are very very easy to find unlike some of the other exotic sizes especially when you start searching for reducers. I didn't tally the cost of the filters in any of this.

For folks wanting Stillen this is the way to go. Get the box you want and mod it with a second duct.

I actually like your drain rubber solution. I'm going to try that on the pipe from the tb where it enters the box.

Make sure it is rated for higher temps at least above 250*F. Some of them have a lower rating but they usually go up to 450 which is why I went with one.

I've seen one rated low like 100*, it will melt and leave a mess.

Did you order the dual or single can? I ordered the single and it came with both single and double brackets.

Double check with them that the part I referenced fits, they recently updated their catch can product line so I don't know if there are any fitment issues. I have the old style can on mine.

So Ray..Salty...I have the the Stillen so I need a larger maf tube to the throttle body and any associated clamps correct. I've been told with the stage 2 Harrop I will exceed maf voltage and get 101 code...sorry if it seems I'm asking the same questions over and over

yes...stock MAF tube will max the MAF....I am a prime example. Mine hits it way up there in the 5k range - which I don't venture to.

bigger MAF tube = no problems. tuning will solve it.

I am rocking that air intake setup...I haven't had ANY issues aside from the MAF P101 code when I was "zooming" in the truck at 10k elevation...made sense and has never happened again...I live at 5k so I am sure a larger intake/MAF would help but isn't needed...yet.

Correct the larger Magnuson box will solve the Maf issue you would encounter

So the 80mm can push the MAF beyond its voltage range meaning more air is flowing than it can register. This can be bad if the truck thinks it is getting less air than it really is getting; it will fuel accordingly with risk of being too lean. Not enough fuel too much air.

Stillen ships with a stock diameter measured at the MAF center. I think it is ~3.33" or slightly larger.

ProSpeed sells one of the larger out of the box intake kits (@reywcms 's pictures) that ships with a 4.5" MAF and vacuum ready tube. I think all the other airboxes have tubes that are slightly smaller than 4.5" (I'm not sure how much smaller) but larger than stock tubes. Not a fan but Rey demonstrated you can seal it up well as to not draw engine bay heat.

You don't need the largest tube with the smaller 80mm pulley, just slightly larger than stock to rescale the MAF/tube. The PS really makes sense if you are going with the larger Lexus TB, the coupler it ships with is sized to mate with it.

The only other options I've seen is to get a custom tube (like MRP) to mate with your box. MRP isn't the only option but it comes MAF ready; you'll need the correct vacuum fitting after the MAF. My parts list has a no weld option (Vibrant) or you can have the shop weld one on. Welded eliminates the risk of leaks but you can easily seal up the no weld option. MRP also sells other sizes than 4.5". Their next size up from stock would be 3.5" ID but that may possibly be too small; others will have to chime in. You would have to get the appropriate reducer coupler as well.

Whichever intake you go with if it has a bend before the MAF you may want to consider an air straightener mesh (MRP sells these) to get more consistent readings at the MAF.

If going with the prospeed box you will need to add vacuum tube that goes to the fuel rail.

Sounds like to keep the Stillen that I have I need a slightly larger MAF tube,so your (Saltyhero13) FrankinStillen would be my option?..or just purchase a Magnuson box from SCOL

TLDR: Seeing Rey's box I kind of changed my mind. Get a different box if even necessary (talk to Nat Speed first) and add the Stillen snorkel later (or ask Nat Speed to do it).

What I was trying to convey earlier is what makes the Stillen special and standout in my mind is the front snorkel as in just the snorkel feature is special. Without it it is just a regular old airbox.

Stillen will sell the snorkel separately now so you can essentially turn any air box into a Stillen with a 3" duct coupler, a 3" silicone coupler and the Stillen snorkel (@reywcms parts check on Aisle 1).

I honestly think modding a different air box with the extra snorkel is the more elegant solution. @reywcms modded his PS box with three parts (duct coupler, silicone coupler and Stillen snorkel). That is as KISS as it gets. It took me several parts to get mine to work and there is much room for improvement with my approach.

If you add up the parts list to mod the Stillen like I did you'll come close or exceed the cost of a standalone air intake box; doesn't even include their labor. MAF ready custom tube is ~$200, dry cone filter is ~$100, flasher, clamps, couplers and adapters is another $100+ etc. An airbox is about $400 depending on who you go with.

So before you go buy a bunch of stuff you may end up not using I would first consider taking the issue up with Nat Speed to see if they are willing to mod your current Stillen box to accommodate a larger intake.

Tell them that you are concerned that Stage 2 smaller pulley will max out the MAF on a stock sized intake tube but you want to keep the Stillen box if possible. They are capable of doing fabrication in house, a custom intake mod would be light work for them. They will probably come up with a better solution than what I came up with.

No if they ask you to source parts that is a different story. We'll need to know what minimum size intake you need to keep the MAF from P0101ing on you. Aside from cost and lead time (custom intake tube took about two weeks) I think you may have a hard time finding the correct size and length reducer couplers to mate with the throttle body but it depends on the size tube you go with.

Worst case scenario if they can't make it work with the Stillen "as is" you can always mod the box Nat Speed recommends with their Stage 2 and just add the front snorkel later. Stillen sells the snorkel separately as a replacement part now.

I think personally the maggy box and SABM would work perfectly. It still keeps the IAT super cool and we know the maf scaling would be sufficient

Still haven't heard back from National Speed about the Stillen box...I'm going to go there this Friday to iron out some details, hopefully they will have good answers. Thanks to all that have answered my questions and given first hand knowledge without you guys it would be guesses. I really appreciate it everyone

Sometimes it takes some time for them to research a topic and get back to you since they don't just work exclusively on Tundras.

Once they assign their project manager to you they are pretty good about text or email correspondence.

If you haven't been down here recently fair warning 95S is a clusterfuck between DC and Quantico during rush hour. South isn't too bad early morning but it will be terrible after 1400.

This is what I am thinking too. Probably lowest cost and most simple "KISS" solution. Add the SABM or Stillen snorkel later and it wont require a retune.

The Stillen snorkel and SABM parts probably ship within a day or two. Custom intake takes about two weeks for MRP to fab and it is better to have the box on hand to get a precise measurement; you probably have about 1/2" to 1" of wiggle room some of which you can make up with a silicone coupler.

I thought someone was developing a new air intake for Gen 2.5 Tundra with blowers? Was it AFE or am I smoking crack? Did it ever make it to market?
