Man 12k is a stiff price. I hope is worth it and enjoy it. I may do this to my 18 Tundra, I am still debating since the extended warranty expired and is all clear now.

I had a dual turbo done by Dinan on my V12 and that was 20K but that's a V12 and dual to begin with and about 875HP now.

Agreed with posts above, the boost is going to be pretty relative to throttle position. Are you telling us that at full throttle you’re not seeing positive boost and the AFRs are not dropping below 14.7? Also, did they give you the dyno results?

That shop has discounts at the end of the year. Some of the blower manufacturers also have big discounts coming up too. Best thing is to get on mailing lists for discounts. One of the vendors on here also has discounts but you'll have to work out the install and tune if not local.

Just trying to figure out my gauge I guess I can try to recalibrate it. Maybe it's bad or never was calibrated
Or I just don't know how to read it,lookin at the Directions as we speak

Can’t help but wonder if you’re just not “giving it the beans” enough to get it into boost and enrichment. Go out there and do a 5 second full throttle pull and watch it.

Might as well spare your tires and do it from a roll. For the belt, copied from the 1st page of the general SC thread:

So I guess in my haste to get my truck back I never took the time to crawl under it to check where the psb1 bung was located.
I made shure to leave the instructions on the psgr seat with the gauge, well they welded it after the secondary cat drivers side before the elbow. You can see where someone made a mark on the pipe just after the factory sensor which is where I read it should have been.guess that's why my readings are weird.
I think they were hustling to get it wrapped up, wonder what else they just threw at it to get it done. Fu****g Amateurs

Whatever this forum told me to do
    agreed.

not to pile on...but sh1t like this pisses me off.

How can a shop not QC the work?... especially when the job had numerous issues.

How does the shop tune the truck if the AFR bung was in the wrong spot? - or am I missing something?

I believe they tune it using a sniffer at the tailpipe (some joke opportunities here). A quick google search says that the sniffer reads roughly half a point leaner after the cats. If OP’s truck was tuned at 11.2 WOT which it looked like it was, then even after the cats I think he should be seeing most 12.0-12.2 with his wideband at WOT?

That sucks ass. Assuming you don't have a welder, I would think any exhaust shop would be able to quickly fix that (O2 sensor weld in bungs are like $3 and standard sizes).

My problem is they must think this is acceptable, and nowadays if you post bad reviews they sometimes want to come back at ya.
I do realize you pretty much sign away most of your rights when you go to them but truly how did they tune it...what else did they cobble together to get it otd.
Full disclosure I did have Justin,John and John at the Orange location for OTT retune it,, I know more money, but I have used them beforehand and was VERY pleased.
They are true PROFESSIONALS from my interactions with them, others may disagree. We did multiple runs into the night....until I was happy with power delivery, throttle response and overall performance...2.5 hours worth of data logging and tweaking to make it what I feel is SMOOTH AS BUTTER.

This has been a long, disappointing adventure! I am sorry you had such challenging experiences...get the probe redone, recalibrate, and yes I 100% agree, OVT was stellar for myself as well and what they said they would do, they did...I'm glad you're finding more success as this weeks moves forward! 4WD, Tow/Haul on, man, she'll scoot that frown into a smile in NO time!!

It would be a challenge to find that rate anywhere near NOVA or 100 miles south. Maybe north in MD or West of I95.

One of my local mechanics can't retain wrench turners for $125/hr and it isn't even a specialty shop.

Dumb but serious question… If tuners are tuning based on readings at the tailpipe and those readings are good enough for them, why do we care so much about having our widebands before the cats if most of us are just using it for monitoring purposes to be sure we aren’t running too lean? If you’re only talking a half point difference between pre and post cat what is the big deal? Am I just overlooking something obvious?
