The biggest problem with all of this needless Drama is I don't have ANY TRUST in the end product. Yea they can get it running, might run great when I pick it up but what about the long term.
This is my retirement/towing truck that up until this happened new it would get me and the wife home, yea anything can break but I've lost the confidence that it will happen when we are traveling. We are all Adults, make our choices so this may be an expensive lesson. Do your homework before you choose a shop,I thought I had......

Whatever this forum told me to do

my $.02 >>>keep in mind my $.02 is devalued do to me being the Forrest Gump of Forced induction.

once you get it tuned & settled, you should be fine. short of fuel pump drama.

I thank my luck stars every time I get in my truck....if you recall, I had my S/C put on before the ECU was even open! and went thru the Harrop connector issue.

and I hear you on the daily driver thing. I use this truck for work, so that is my primary reason for driving it like a grandpa.

these forum guys taught me (which is hard to do!) to watch your AFR...like all the time in your first few days/weeks. Once I reach PE, my AFR immediately goes to low 10's. as should yours.

If I get into the pedal, it ain't for long. it doesn't need to be...you'll hit 70mph quickly.

I sincerely wish you well & thanks for the updates. I continue to send positive mojo in your general direction.

I agree with nobody, I also had a bunch of drama (fuel pump) that included it stranding me 250 miles from home but now that it has been 100% for months (just awful MPGS) I love it!

What was up with fuel pump? Their idea of a 450 fitting in a standard canister? @19PlatinumCrew did they state what your issue was? Good Luck!

At this point all you can do is play the hand that's delt to you. My problem is they are using a 3rd party to program it so if anything goes wrong they will probably blame them. So how is your truck running.....

Oh geez. What a fucking goat rope! Saddened to hear about the terrible experience you are having with them. Regret recommending them after having two of three positive experiences with them.

I hope they get it all sorted for you.

Dude ...the only people at fault is National Speed, everyone asks for recommendations, we scour reviews and you pray it all works out this is the new way nobody seems to have pride in the job and do it right......let's get it out the door asap is the norm.

What is really concerning is Not One Call from a manager or someone that is in charge.....and I don't think the guy I'm dealing with is the Boss,if he is God help them.

I feel terrible hearing about your negative experience. I would have never expected this from them.

My first guy was horrible. The motherfucker never escalated my issue to a tech or management. I thought he got fired but his lackadaisical attitude sounds like the same guy you are dealing with. Chris from Harrop helped me get sorted and one of the guys from the General SC thread verified the issue.

My next two project were smooth minus the tranny jizz incident; one of the project guys even responded to my questions on weekends and his days off. QC was on point and they were proactive about updates.

Nat Speed did have some shit Google reviews but they seems to be around centered around a few specific years. Seems like that shop goes through waves of great and terrible service.

What time are you picking up tomorrow?

I'm fortunate that the truck is a garage queen and used for weekend camping trips, got a beater for everyday duties.
I think that the situation requires a level head for now

A level headed response usually gets things moving along but don't be a door mat either. Modding a vehicle has its own short falls we all have responsibility for. They need to stand behind their work and nake it right. At least your not getting it on the 13th...

UPDATE.......I had to call AGAIN for a status on the bricked ecu replacement, was told everything has been updated and transferred over to the New ecu and I can pick it up on Monday.....but we have played this game before.
I have tried to give everyone the events as they have happened, I would like to thank everyone who has helped me through this cluster f...k and would like opinions on the compensation that I feel is owed to me for the time and expense that has been incurred. They say everything has been fixed, they say it was installed correctly, realistically I have waisted about 13 hours and a tank of fuel for me and my wife. What do you guys feel is fair....truck has been there for 2 weeks.

I do realize that just wanted extra eyes on a bad situation....they still have the truck and I still owe them 3200.00 from the original estimate.

Whatever this forum told me to do
I would expect to pay original estimate

all the extra time is on them

    shit happens

I waited a week just to get my gauges put in. One of the gauges was broke from factory

I would ask for extended priority attention if something goes wrong in the next 60 days. In writing

you’ll love truck. The end will justify the means

I smile like a jackass eating bedslats every time I give it a go.

    As will you

So tough for me to tell since I had a good experience. If I was in your situation, I’d probably ask 20/25% off and settle at 10/15%. You waisted over an extra week, they had awful communication, on top of the trust factor of the installation. Plus you didn’t ask for something that was different or difficult. It was a kind of a standard installation.

I arrived at 10/15% because that’s what I was given when a shop near me kept my truck for an extra 5 days on my 5.29 gears install.

But I’d still wait to see what they say first before you ask.

Whatever this forum told me to do
And yes, all the while my wife is wondering why I do this shit

women, in general, don’t comprehend these things

ex. Why are you putting on another supercharger. I’m not. It’s just a pulley

like the penguins in Madagascar, I just smile and wave
