Went the Carista way too. I shut the selt belt chimes off, turned the fake engine noise off, and did the -2 degree AC calibration adjustment, which really improved the functionality of the AC.

I may have to look into the window opening with FOB thing. It would be nice to let the super heated air out of the cab before doing a remote start to cool the cab down. Never thought I'd use the remote start much, but it was nice to have on our recent trip to Florida.

Be careful if you keep your keys in you pocket. I have had my fob roll the windows down a couple of time during the rain. All night long.

Just a heads up for you iPhone guys trying to use an inexpensive ELM 327 ODB adapter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C8T76CPC) instead of the Carista one, they only work on Android. But it does work just fine. Just bust out an old Android phone or tablet and disable seatbelt chimes to your heart's content. I also recommend changing the auto turn signal from 3 to 5 blinkers.

what's in your pocket?? You have to hold the button in, and continue to hold it in while they roll down. it isn't like you press the magic down button

I rent cars 2-3 times a month and usually get a RAV4 or a Highlander. BOTH of these cars are MUCH less obnoxious. I can't understand why the TUNDRA is so much worse...

Are there any cheaper ones on Amazon that you can turn off the seatbelt alarms etc that do work with iOS?

Had perfect performance with the VeePeak adapter on AMZ. It also works perfectly with the Car Scanner App for Trans Temp, Gear Pos, Boost Press, Engine Oil Temp and Press, Engine Temp, and Battery Voltage.

I finally did it! I already had a ODBII scanner, so I downloaded the Carista app! What was I waiting for???

Since I already had a scanner it DID give me a MONTH free before the charges for the app start. I will use the full month and then decide if I want to keep it.

Really? Mine ran out a couple days ago. I'm going to drive by the school by my house to test this. And yes, you will be my hero if the notification is gone! That's how much it annoyed me.

I just bought the Veepeak scanner. What add-ons are required with the Car Scanner App? Is is a Toyota package or one just for the 3rd Gen Tundra (I have two other Toyota models at the house)? Just to be sure, the app you are using is: Car Scanner ELM OBD2? Thanks!

I just tried the Car Scanner app on a Carista last weekend. In the app, you start with "connect" it will can for bluetooth devices. I found that doing this right after powering on puts the OBDII device in pair mode. It showed up, I clicked it and then you choose the profile you want.
For the settings, it looks like I chose Adapter oBDII ELM327: Bluetooth LE (4.0). Connection Profile: Toyota OBD-II EODB ~2016 - Present CAN + extra sensors. I remember their being more in the name when I clicked it, but that is what I see in the app now. Then you lots of menus to explore. It does take some time exploring the values it can get.

Once connected click the All Sensors button at the top right on the home page. You can scroll through that list and take note of the active ones you want for your custom dash

So to clarify I can make all the adjustments with a veepeak scanner if I download the carista app? Like ac adjustment , seat belt alarms etc?
