Pulled the trigger on a 2018 platinum tundra crewmax 4x4. Previously owned a 2013 Tacoma but had a pretty good offer on it that I couldn’t pass down. Coming from a Tacoma to the tundra I can say I feel like tundras are “fancy”. Never thought I’d be able to get into a vehicle like this but I’m happy I did. This was a long term purchase for me and I can not be happier. I miss not having a payment but these tundras are beasts. Next step is bedliner, Floor mats and possibly a bed cover. Still trying to decide between weather tech or husky mats. Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes

Welcome from San Diego, CA. Let us know what you decide on floor liners. I am having the same dilemma.I have had Weathertech in the past but have heard great things about Husky too.

Welcome from NC! Congratulations on picking the fastest color made! Not sure if you were told by the dealer but you will get at least an extra 2 mpg because of the aerodynamics of white.

    Congrats, and welcome Blake.
As far mats, I think most people would lean toward husky mats only because they're a much better fit. There are some reviews on youtube about it.
Do you mind telling us about your purchase price and what got you into buying a tundra?

Welcome from AZ. I came from a 2004 Tacoma to a 2018 Tundra myself in March. Couldn't be happier too. Absolutely love the new truck. I'm finally getting ready to put in a bedliner which will bring everything together. Congrats on your purchase!

Well I’ve had a Toyota my entire life and never had any issues. My family is growing (I’m 29 with my first son who is almost 6 months) wife has a small suv (rav 4). So space was needed. My truck was paid for and I have always wanted a tundra just could never justify the need for (I’m a money saving fool aka cheapo). Basically I found the vehicle I like once the 2019 models were getting ready to hit the lots I emailed numerous dealerships and then used their pricing to negotiate dealers near me so I didn’t have to drive 4-6 hours for a better deal.
MSRP on my vehicle platinum 4x4 was $54xxx negotiates to $46xxx then tax title etc brought me to 49k out the door. New car rates are currently high in my opinion by my standards. I don’t mind disclosing my credit score was 825 and even with that rate I was looking at 4% but since I had financed my Tacoma before they dropped to 3.88. I ended up using special finance rate through dealership which was 0.9% and they added 2k to the purchase price. Total was 51k and I put down 8k so financed 43k. Not a great deal I guess but the picking were getting slim. Also the difference between the limited price and platinum was only around 3-5k. Hope this helps.

I have heard great things about husky but I believe the weather techs have higher sides which is appealing to me.
