Not sure that's accurate. My buddy has the Hypertech installed with the tires rated (35") in and still pulls good mileage. You actually increase MPG as it's less effort for your engine to work. If you drive it like an ass- then ya, expect crappy MPG.

Not even sure how to respond to that post. Do you understand how a supercharger works? Do you understand how an engine works? So I have a 5.7L engine that takes X amount of fuel to run naturally aspirated to keep it at stoich. I bolt a small 1.9L engine on top of my 5.7L but instead of supplying it with its own ability to make power I have to run it off my 5.7L engines crank shaft, creating parasitic loss due to additional drag on the crankshaft essentially robbing the base engine of power. Now the upside to that is I now have a 1.9L engine sitting on top of my 5.7L engine that is an air pump pushing more O2 in to my 5.7L essentially turning it in to a 7.6L engine. The MAF and O2 sensors see this extra air coming in from that added 1.9 L air pump and they prevent that lean condition by compensating for the extra air and they richen up the mixture with added fuel (hence the need for larger injectors) to compensate for the extra air to prevent a lean condition and piston melt down. This happens at any engine speed regardless of RPM or throttle input.
The stock engine makes 67.54 hp per liter, and the 5.7L engine with the 1.9L blower makes 74.11hp per liter. Not an amazing increase considering thatt you have bolted $8000 on top of the engine.

Adding 35" tires does not increase mileage either. You are effectively strapping another 1000 lbs to the truck by increasing rotational mass. You cant slow it down as fast either due to that added rotational mass. Hence why the truck wants to coast further faster when you let off the gas with larger tires. The gyroscope on the hub has increased in size exponentially due to that weight moving further out from the pendulum point.

If your theory were correct, that placing a SC on the truck with 35" tires I should see 20mpg from the Tundra. Following this theory, since my car has twin turbos (which have no parasitic loss) as they only use exhaust gas to turn them, my 6.0L engine that makes 1200hp should provide me with 40 to 50 miles per gallon. Unfortunately that is not true. I get about 7.4 mpg foot in and 9.2mpg in light throttle applications. Due to the fuel dump required to keep the engine running richer than stoich to prevent piston melt down.

Now I don't know much about engines and cars as I have only been a ASE certified master mechanic for 32 years, and an automotive Engineer for 30 years. And the car below was the fruit of a lot of peoples labor, including mine. That little engine is a bit of a gem at 650hp at 8lbs of boost and 1200hp at 14lbs of boost.

    TL; DR.
Nowhere did I say 35" tires increase it. I said SC does, has- and I will stand by my statement.

But yes, I know SC's pretty well. I also own one on my 5.7. I can speak from first hand experience- and it's not just my knowledge, but others.
