Still a noob, today I checked flares for fit and realized the front fender flares didn't have a mounting place on the top part of the flares. Correct me please but do I need mounting brackets for these and if so, where can I get them...do not know the maker of the flares but they go on a 2014 Tundra platinum..thanks for any advice

I have bushwacker flares and they did come with angled mounting brackets for the tops of the flares. Not sure where you would get just the brackets tho.

I have the rough country flares. They came with brackets for the top mount as well. Wouldn't be hard to come up something to hold it. It's just a metal tab that bolts in the factory splash clip.

Pictures of your flares might help us identify what brand you have. Then perhaps you could contact them for parts. I know my Bushwackers have an available parts kit (mounting screws, rubber liner and such).

I've contacted bushwacker and the mounting brackets come only with purchase of complete flare set...The replacement hardware kit only has nuts and bolts/fasteners/screws and edge trim...I didn't think it would be this difficult to find a replacement or something satisfactory to mount the front flares...any help would be appreciated..I'm new to this and lack the knowledge

I took a pic this morning of how the tabs are on my flares hope it helps. This is the front fender the rear is just held by screws in the factory location IMG_2318.jpg IMG_2320.jpg IMG_2319.jpg

Ah, these are the one's that were up for sale on this forum ... That was a great price you picked them up for. I can't tell by that picture if those are Bushwackers (My Bushwackers have a badge on the inside of the front flares) but seeing as their kit doesn't come with the mounting brackets it doesn't matter. I'm alittle surprised that they wouldn't sell them separately ...

Yes Toebs, those are the clips I need for the front flares, I don't think they are bushwackers but was mainly interested in getting those front clips from them...I might have to hit up Home Depot to see if there's something similar I could use or modify that would work for me..imo the clips look like 45 degree angle channel locks..r4z, I was really shocked I wasn't able to find replacement clips...

These flares I have are rough country. maybe try them and see if they will sell just the installation hardware. These are bent on the end they just slide in the slot on the flare and held in place with the one screw. 2 per side on the front only
