I've never had a problem with it at all, I know some people prefer to put the silicone grips on top of it to soften it up some but it's definitely not necessary. I really like the grip and like you said its got a really solid feel. I really like this gun a lot. Shoots just about as straight as my Sig 229 .40

Yeah, these XDs are great guns. This was my EDC for about 4 years. If it weren't for GLOCKS I'd probably have all XDs.:quickdraw:

Cool, thanks for the responses guys. I had a few XDs before my boating accident. Great weapons.

Like @FumundaTundra said, if it weren't for Glocks....

How is it you go about changing the rear slide plate? Just field stripe and pull it our, or are there screws that hold it in place?

I will say, he makes it look much easier than it is but by no means is it that hard, just be patient with it.

I almost pulled the trigger (pun intended) on a Daniel Defense SBR a few months ago.

Looks like a great setup you have there? Aimpoint Comp M3?

For me, it's the 4" barrel. You know, duty weapon length. I get major wood every time I see one in the gun case. Hard to resist!

Not much too it. Took all my guns out on a rubber raft and it sank. Lost all my guns. Total loss. Now I'm anti-gun, pro Hillary.

Kinda followed this thread off and on for a while.
    Curious how folks would answer.
Answer changes moment by moment kinda for me: quail hunting favorite is the benelli, deer hunting the fav is the ruger 270, survival is the 10-22 take down, zombies it's the ar or the ak, night work in south Phoenix I want my glock 40, in my nightstand I want the 357, a brisk exercise walk I grab the Walther pps....
How the heck does anybody pick a favorite? Just sayin

I have a Benelli M1 for upland/sport shooting, it's one hell of a shotgun. Blows my old 1187 out of the water.
