Favorite bourbon/ whiskey...

Buffalo Trace is on the shelf at my local Target here in Arizona. My in laws live in Alabama and due to the allocations people line up to get their hands on Buffalo Trace. My in laws went and toured Buffalo Trace facility a few weeks ago they really enjoyed it.

 

I just spent two weeks in Sweden and it was on the shelf at the liquor store there. I introduced a few Swedish friends to a good, cheap American bourbon. =]

 

Picked this up today for 175, took just a quick sip to see what it'll about. It hits pretty hot and I get strong pipe tobacco and leather at first, fairly sweet and tasty. Can't wait to dive into it later.

 

Affirmed Bourbon Fanatic here. Bib & Tucker is permanently on the rotation for me.

 

Picked up this pair today. Already into the straight bourbon. It is has a smooth vanilla finish. Very easy drinking.

 

I like it very much!

 

My recent purchases have been Buffalo Trace, Angel’s Envy, and Bowman Brothers. All of them have been great.

 

Looks amazing too but that is some expensive syrup the way I like to drown my french toast.

 

I found the Colonel in Fort Collins, CO in June and paid $41.99!

 

That is a steal, at that price I would have picked up at least 2 bottles. Not sure how they plan on getting more products out to different states, but I know that the Buffalo Trace Distillery is in the process of expanding as we speak. But we all know that good whiskey takes time...

 

I could only buy one. They had two bottles on hand and they were kept in the managers office.

 

Here are a couple more off the shelf.
I picked up the NoCo Bourbon in Fort Collins where I found the Colonel. Surprisingly I paid slightly more for the NoCo at $50. Treated myself to a 25 year wedding anniversary present with the two bottles. I have not cracked this bottle yet but the employee gave it high review.
The Keepers Heart was a birthday gift from a friend this week. I'm not much of an Irish drinker but my friend only knows I'm a whiskey fan. This is from O'Shaughnessy Distillery in Minneapolis and just started last year. Two Irish cousins are the money and marketing power and they hired a master distiller from Ireland. Cracked it right away. Nothing exceptional to report, just a really easy drinking Irish American rye whiskey blend.

 

Good variety tonight for a bunch of friends.

 

Yeah its a staple in this household. It's a nice switch off from Bailys.

 

This is great in coffee, also great in a root beer float. I buy it by the case and give it out in my “you’ve been boozed” packages for neighbors at Halloween.

 

I have never seen these Bulleit "Barrel Outlaw's" releases, the color is beautiful.

 

Those were brought by a friend of mine. He said the Barrel Outlaws select the barrel from the distillery and put their own custom labels on the back of the bottles. If look on the bottom right corner you can see which bottle number and how many bottles were made out of each barrel. They were pretty good. The Penelope Barrel Strength Toasted and Old Forrester Single Barrel were my two favorites.

My fav is alway Suntori Hibiki but, I find myself always having a bottle of Tin Cup in the house.
Good sipping when working on firearms.

 

Fusion Series #6 , spicy but good.

 

I drove by that distillery yesterday. It is right next to the Bluegrass Parkway in Bardstown. I'll have to try some soon.

Just looking for an authentic whiskey Tasting experience, don’t need the tour stuff.
Already been to Jack Daniels, Greenbrier and Old Glory distilleries.

Drink 1/3 of the root beer and top off with Buffalo Trace bourbon cream for a root beer float that is awesome!

 

I got a tip that one of my local places was putting two cases of Stagg Jr. out today. I got a few other ones to try out.
