Definitely worth having a bottle on hand. Everytime ordered is never a regret.

I don't drink often, but it's almost always bourbon and ginger unless I'm feeling froggy and then I'll do a couple whisky stones and a bit of one of the nicer bottles

My go to mixer bourbon is Jim Beam Devils Cut or Knob Creek...but I keep a variety of budget bottles

I've had scotch a few times, and enjoyed it but haven't really purchased any as of yet

I never was a fan of the CR Black. Not quite sure why. Actually its been so long that I might just have to give it a whirl again, if I can still find it.

Pendleton isn't bad by any means, and that's coming from someone who's not a huge fan of Canadian.

Plenty planned thanks to all of you.
Lot's of good suggestions here. I switch between Knob Creek, Bulleit, Makers, and Crown depending on my mood. I did have a pretty interesting bottle the past summer, it was a small batch White Whiskey out of Portland, Maine called Wiggly Bridge (http://wigglybridgedistillery.com/distillery/spirits) a bit pricey but some of the best that I've tasted.

I always order my manhattans perfect (equal parts sweet and dry vermouth) and on the rocks. I rarely get one that is just right and never with the right garnish lol. I've accepted this and just order on the rocks and ask for the vermouth on the side. I get some crazy looks but at least my taste buds are happy lol!

Anybody try Two Stars? My go to is Bulleit or Makers but for the price this stuff is good! Smooth with some caramel tones.

I really like Makers Mark. I toured the distillery years ago and was impressed on how much time, effort and attention to detail they put into their product. I have a friend who sells distilling equipment on his website clawhammersupply.com. We were talking about bourbon the other night and according to him a lot of "small batch" bourbon and whisky is actually made in a macro factory in Indiana and rebranded and marketed to consumers. Here's a good article to those that are interested in where some of "small batch" bourbon is coming from.

Tried these at a tasting at the liquor store. All we're pretty good and unique in their own way.
