Today's day drinking is Wild Turkey Rare Breed. 116 proof but super smooth. Highly recommend. Usually can find it in the $40 range.

I have heard nothing but good things about it so I had to try. That little bottle was 43 bucks, will see how it goes but as of now after my first glass I would lean to it being just ok and not on my shopping list anymore.

940D2607-4495-4C74-A3EF-71C498844264.jpg My palette prefers a slightly sweet side, but not Canadian sweet.
Garrison is much hyped here in TX, but really is not that good.
I like 12 year Jameson, GreenSpot is great buy. Whistle Pig is very close to the top as is Angel’s Envy.
Middleton was very good. Purchased my first bottle in Ireland 12 years ago, before you could get it in the states. That may be why I thought it was so good!
I also do a barrel aged Manhattan and Vieux Carre, just for additional options.

I hear ya on the GB, Ironroot is Texas heard good things about that too, have you tried it? Never had the Jameson 12 year, so far Black Barrel is my favorite.

Angels Envy I will take anytime, how do you like the Blade and Bow?

I had the Black Barrel in my decanter. Really liked it. BEFORE you judge..I’m not that high-brow, it was a Christmas gift.
I usually forget to toss anything in it!
Blade and Bow came VERY highly recommended. It will be interesting, as I like smooth not hot spirits. It is the next bottle to be opened, and has been sitting for about 6mo. will let you know

Was doing some hunting today and received a really good lead on a couple of bottles. Was able to snag a Henry McKenna 10yr Bottled in Bond and a Knob Creek store pick that was actually a 15yr barrel! Retail on the KC was only $47, way below retail of a standard KC 15yr! Can’t wait to try both tonight. Cheers!

Interesting recipe. I might try it with some Traverse City cherry infused whiskey I have. Hard to find a summer whiskey drink for the pontoon but this might just be a hit.

I haven’t drank Crown Royal in very long time. This 16 year aged Rye caught my eye. It’s pretty good and very smooth.

Gentleman Jack is my 1st. choice....Jack no longer sells "green label" Old No. 7 so my second choice goes to Jack Old No. 7 black label. Not a big fan of the Irish Whisky brands although they are my sons favorites so, like the tasty American Whiskey's, I keep a wide variety in my cabinet. Cheers everybody, life, luck and good health to you all.

Haha, I wish had room for that many bottles. I hear you though. I have several KC bottles and the majority of them are store picks because they have consistently been amazing!

There were several of this store pick left so I still may go back in the next couple of weeks. ;)

Im pretty stoked to actually find one here. Last I heard there was no BTAC being allocated to MT. Didnt think would ever find one, let alone for anywhere close to msrp.
