Picked these up today. The Caribbean was recommended by a friend who said it’s similar to Belvenie Caribbean Cask. For less than $30 it’s worth a try. The Cigar Cask is an early bday present to myself. Can’t wait to try it.

I ve tried a few brands on this thread. IMO, or rather in my case, they all taste pretty much the same with a few exception of some being smoother on it s way down than others. ("Old Grand Dad 114", being the one I would call my favorite). It s smoother than any other bourbon I ve drank. And believe me when I say; it will get send you to the moon if you aren t careful.

Drink bourbon straight. and at room temperature, (which is how I drink it), if you really want to compare quality. I think adding other variables, (mixers, ice), only clouds the results.

Yeah, the hayden store brings in some good ones occasionally. I need to frequent that one more and just keep checking. I guess it would be a good excuse to take the motorcycle out to Sandpoint or something to check there too...

Venezuelan Rum, Diplomatico, smooth for a casual sipping rum. Not too sweet, not too spicy.

Looking for a high quality rum? Any recommendations. Also looking for a source to buy Jameson Rarest Vintage reserve.

Had an eventful weekend. My buddy has a pretty extensive collection and provided some awesome samples for a swap on the Smoke Wagon. Also picked up one for myself. The Flying Leap is a local distillery. It's only a 2 year but I had a sample and I was pretty impressed.

Just bought my first bottle of the Old Forrester 100 proof and cracked it open last night.
I had bought it based off a youtube whiskey review channel that says its the best bourbon for the money on the market.

Gotta says its damn good stuff!!!
Sweet and smooth. Its a fruity sweet.
Knob Creek is sweet but its a brown sugar sweet, still good.

But for $23 for a 750 that Old Forrester just might be my new go to.

Its over hyped and comes in a cool looking bottle. I was a Blantons fan boy years ago. Loved the stuff. The last 2 bottles i opened were mediocre. I know a lot of liquor stores will keep it behind the counter and only offer to certain customers. Get to know the local guys and just BS and talk bourbon.

If you want help finding one...Ill snag one up and ship it to ya if one pops up? Not trying to make a buck at all, just helping ya out if you want one...

Nice snag, although I imagine you had to go to the dark side to get the ER (being a 2016). Thats the only BTAC i have not tried yet and am sure it will be amazing!
