My subscription is $100/quarter. I get a sampler and a $40 "credit". They sell a lot of whiskeys. Last quarter I got an Australian whiskey. They have a vault of whiskey they open to members once a month. Some are pretty pricey, but I have felt like their prices are pretty fair. They offer free shipping on everything I have bought, though may not be for every bottle.

My subscription is $300/yr. I get 1 bottle and 1 sampler per quarter. They also throw me a free shipping Credit from time to time. I find the prices to be fairly competitive. Especially when I can cash in on the free shipping. I tend to go heavy on those orders.

Friend gave this to me before he moved to Chicago last August because he couldn't take it across the border.

I’ve not tried the Buffalo Trace yet but I’ve heard good things about it. It was only $45 for the 1.75L. 620BDF0E-5AA0-4997-8E56-D327551A2DC8.jpg

Theres a reason lot of people see BT as the baseline to bourbon. Good stuff and its everywhere. Try Eagle Rare as a good comparison. Also try benchmark...its basically the BT that doesn't make the cut and its still better then most Beam offerings.

Well, I love it but I'm all about the islays that taste like dirt or a campfire.

This one actually wasn't as strong as I was expecting. I wonder if it's been open too long. Or maybe I'm just used to peat flavour now.

Its really good. Kinda hot, but definitely gets better the longer its opened. Buddy sent it to me for a birthday a while ago. Its been opened too long and will die an honorable death soon....

Searching this thread wasn't very effective. Can any of you recommend a good budget American rye whisky for my brother?

Bulleit makes a rye whiskey. I don't enjoy rye, but I'm told be those who do that it's pretty good.

Hey guys, what are some good midrange bourbon or whiskey to try? Right now I am really enjoying Elijah Craig. In the past I have always just stuck to Jack and Beam. I am really liking the Elijah Craig. More so than the Jack. Not quite as sweet. Looking to expand and try some stuff in the $30 to $70 price range.

Just a nice smooth taste. Not too sweet, but not too bitter.

What would be a good sipping whiskey or bourbon to try?

Blanton's fan here (have all my horses), but I do have a decent collection to include Buffalo Trace's limited releases. I do also enjoy Angel's Envy Rye and some of the Four Rose's offerings. Can't forget several of COL Taylor's like single barrel and rye.

An American non-rye whiskey that is a good deal is Tin Cup. Mash is made in Indiana and finished/cut in Colorado.

Picked this up today and will try it this evening. It’s been described as Canadian Blantons.

Never seen that before. I want it. That's the same company that owns Buffalo Trace I believe (imported by). It says Sazerac and has the same style wax and stopper.

Dad's Hat is really nice for its price point. Probably closer to a rye than a bourbon.

All of these fit that description and price point. All really good. Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is probably my other go-to besides Elijah Craig.

Awesome, thanks man. From looking at this thread, I think I might try some Weller. Guys at work told me to try Booker's but I think it is a little more.

I’ve been really enjoying Elijah Craig Small Batch recently but my go to is usually Makers or Woodford. Cheers!
