My dobinsons came in too, still waiting on the leaf packs

So the coastal offroad bumper makes you relocate the power steering cooler , which i knew , but doesnt supply the 20 inch return hose they require or the 3 m8 bolts nuts and washers. The directions make it fairly clear you need to supply the hose, but say nothing about the m8 bolts other than you attach the bracket using m8 bolts.......seems it wouldnt be that hard to include them.......other than that the kit has been pretty good. Relocating the power steering cooler has been by far the most frustrating part.

Ok so slow progress on the fat taco today, got the power steering relocation figured out . Havent mounted it back yet because im painting the brackets. In welding news, i got a little further on the bumper. Finished out the winch box section. Also got some light tabs welded on the inside of the main part of the bumper.

One thing to note on coastal offroad bumpers. While i like the kit the instructions are a bit lacking at times. Some of the pictures if followed exactly will actually run you in the wrong direction. Doesnt look like much yet but im getting there.

Oh and apparently the bed of my truck is not the best storage solution for the metal for the bumper lol even with my topper its already getting surface rust. So buffing all the surface rust off is slowing things down.

Starting to look like a bumper now. Im thinking mig wouldve been the better way to go with this project but im just much more comfortable using stick. Im reminded of the toby keith song good as i once was when it comes to my welding skills lol :welder:im slower these days but im getting there. Start the wings on the sides tomorrow and then hopefuly get full weld on it and prime it

Ok FINALLY finished rerouting my power steering cooler. This was a pita. Also got the bumper sanded in 80 grit glazed with filler on a couple low spots and 2nd primer coat

So I fucked up. Tried to mount bumper by myself , failed and now have some gouges in new paint...... worst of them I can't get a pic of yet because it's setting on top of it. Will mount then mask off and fix the paint while on the truck.

In other news, fabricating a remote solenoid bracket for my winch out of some scrap in my shop, and should get it all mounted up tomorrow.

I prefer the Gray. It's more subtle on the Texan.
