Well after careful consideration we are downsizing our boat to a 19footer. With this down sizing we no longer need a full size truck. My tundra is gone and bought a 2016 Tacoma Limited. Heading back over to the Dark side where I started several years ago with my 05 speedway blue prerunner. This will actually be my 4th Tacoma over the years.

You are still in the same family so it is all good. Nothing wrong with a Tacoma if you don't need a full size. I had my Tacoma for 16 years and loved it.

That’s not the dark side. The dark side starts with an F, D, or GM. Lol
Congrats for keeping it in the Fam!

Too expensive for what they are and you don't save much on fuel. Just enough truck to make you want a real one....

I loved my '16 Taco Offroad. Not the darkside, still in the Yota family.

I'm on both teams. TW is a lot more fun.

The mpg difference is hardly noticable. As said above, those 2 cylinders will be missed.

I just came from a Taco and agree with others....glad you stuck with a Toyota but the gas mileage difference between a Tundra and Taco is negligible.

On a 400 mile trip, using $3/gallon, your drive will roughly cost you $71 in a Tundra and $60 in a Tacoma.

IMO, until Toyota improves the MPG on the Tacoma, there are so many upsides/reasons the Tundra > Tacoma. Only things that swing in favor for the Taco are easier to park/fit in a garage, “looks” sleeker, and better Off-Road capability....and maybe that it’s Taco Tuesday everyday.

None the less, to each their own. Enjoy another Toyota.

    I've had 3 Tundras with 5.7s and 2 Tacomas with a 4l, one with a 3.4l and now a 3.5l. Plus a 4.7l 4Runner and a 4l FJ. I'm more than familiar with the differences.

Come back to Tundra in a few years when all of their trucks are silent e-trucks. Maybe Toyota will have the “Burnie” model that comes with hammer and sickle pkg, or AOC model that automatically stops for snowflakes.
