Famous people you’ve met

Luis Emilio Gonzalez....played for the diamondbacks among others.......when I was a kid he was in triple A in my hometown...he lived next door to my friend. We would go harass him all the time...however he would always answer the door and was nice to us... saw Frank Thomas all the time too.... oh and can't forget David Allan Coe....been on his tour bus....and that isn't anything to brag about trust me...

 

Had a couple beers with Brian Johnson of AC/DC at Road America in Elkhart Lake WI, Road America. He was there with his wife and car crew taking shelter in a lower bar during a tornado. I actually didn't recognize him right away but after talking to him for a while figured it out. We called the girls (teens) to come down from the hotel room and they said no. Later at dinner at a restaurant we told the girls we were talking with Brian Johnson from AC/DC and they were like yeah right uh huh. About 5 minutes later he came by and knocked on the window next to the table we were eating at waved and the girls freaked and were so mad they didn't come down. haha yeah right..... I'm glad they didn't. Had a nice time talking with Brian and his wife. Very sharp guy and his wife was very nice. He was really into cars and had a Prototype car he was going to run the next day but it got damaged. He sang an old Irish Christmas song for my son (and didn't scream it). I'm not that big on AC/DC but was fun talking with him and I think he just liked hanging out with regular folks. His pit crew was fun to talk cars with.

I was working EMS for a warped tour festival about 7 years ago. The temp was 100+ so my job was to spray the crowd with a firehose just to the left of the stage.
After she finished her set she came over and told me I had the coolest job at the event. I handed her the firehose and let her soak the crowd for a while. She thanked me and left. About 20 min later a guy came over with a plate of food and said it was from pat. She wrote a note saying thanks and signed it.

 

Used to work at a medical facility down in Beverly Hills.

We ran Hyperbaric Chambers to help with healing. Works great on everything from sports injuries to TBIs. Any who, over the years met numerous people from all walks of life, but with it being Beverly Hills there was definitely those Holy Sh!t moments, look who just walked through the door!

Also turns out, that Hyperbarics are recommended after plastic surgery. Can’t even count how many A/B list celebrities and/or models we treated over the years post some face lift, nose job, or the likes.

Worked a lot with the Los Angeles Clippers for sports injuries as well, a lot of cool guys.

Unfortunately still under HIPPA and can’t list names.

 

I've met Charlton Heston several years ago. I had a chance to talk to him for a little while. He was very humble and a very nice guy. He was a true legend.
I've also met Lisa Niemi, Patrick Swayze's wife. I knew her brother who was a contractor back then.
I've also met Neil Simon who was a famous playwright and screenwriter.
I know I've met other famous people but I don't remember at the moment.

Funny Story about Ivan Stewart. A couple of months ago my wife was at Home Depot.(she has a TRD Pro 4runner in Calvary blue) She told me this old guy walked up to her in the parking lot and was asking about her truck. She told him I had tundra go off-roading occasionally. Anyway it was Ivan Stewart he gave her a couple of signed pictures for her and me. She had never heard of him, and I am aware of who he is but wouldn't have recognized him.



I also made-out with Claudia Christian (Babylon 5)

 

I do events for a living so I have got to meet a lot of people to many to list. But in my years of these experiences I have found comedians to be the worst and top musicians like Steven Tyler to be the best. Billy Joel was awesome as well. Funny not funny

 

Worked as a movie set medic in Del Mar, CA. The movie was an HBO movie called the “Heist.” I shadowed Pierce Brosnan, the star in the movie. This was just before he became James Bond. Long, long hours and the fun novelty of hanging with Hollywood stars wore off quick.

Emo Phillips, we chatted with him outside between sets at a local comedy club. He was just as weird offstage, but a nice guy.

Doesn't really count, but Kumar's brother. He's married to my daughter's sister-in-law. See him frequently at family gatherings.

Not too many down in SD. Seen a handful at most in my 6 years here. John Cena lives in La Jolla and used to workout quite a bit at the gym I went to which was cool. Always wanted to yell something like “if you smellllllllll what the Rock is cookin’..” when he was mid squat or something.

Elon Musk- I used to work for SpaceX when it was small.

Richard Branson- I now work for his aerospace company.

DeSean Jackson (NFL)- he went to a local high school here. A couple years ago he bought a dirt bike off me. It was Craigslist, super random.

That's pretty much it. I don't really have much exposure to famous people in my life, nor am I the type to seek them out.

Method Man and Redman- see above, also smoked with them

Michael Winslow- sounds guy from Police Academy movies

James Taylor/Carly Simon- a cousin used to date their son

John Cena- went to Springfield college, had some mutual friends

Mick Foley and Terry Funk- I used to work overnights at rest stop gas station. Would see a lot of WWE stars driving late between shows in Springfield and Albany. They were the most memorable because they would talk to you.
