Anybody know if the +2 CB shackles would be good for this kit?

I have the CB +2 with the Falcon Tow/Haul. Had On about 7 months. I’ll post some pics and write-up. I am taking it back to my 4x4 shop this week bc I just started getting squeaking in drivers side front in what sounds to be spring perch area. Other than that it’s been solid.

I am curious why they opted to go with a 2.25" rather than a 2.5" shock. I can honestly say I've not seen another. Plenty of 2.0" and 2.5" but I can't readily think of another 2.25" to compare. I could be wrong, cuz I'm a noob on shocks and such.

Thanks that would help me decide between falcon and 6112/5160s.

I'm thinking of going the falcon route over bilstein. Mainly for better corrosion protection.

In their video, they say going 2.25 over 2.5 allows more versatility with vehicles without causing clearance issues. They say it's the same ride quality as the 2.5 but better than if it was just a 2. Seems like a quality product. I think this just replaced Bilstein 6112/5160s on my wishlist.

@AzureNightmare not sure which video it was, totally went down the rabbit hole and watched a lot of theirs. It might actually have been in the Ford one where they made a budget Raptor. Lots of good information in that video about their product.

Ah, then I would not have seen it. I am 99% sold that if/when I upgrade these will be my choice. The only thing that I go all Murphy's Law on is the shield for the rod on the rear shocks. I could see a worst case scenario bending that shield back into the path of the shock and then all kinds of bad news. The fact that it has never happened means that it likely never will, but I'm a pessimist and a cynic.

Fully understand. So ready to upgrade my suspension but I'm still probably about 2 years out. I have no real need to upgrade and tires cost to much to let my current ones go before I've gotten my money out of them. Oh, then damn covid ruined all my tundra upgrades for the year anyways lol

I hear you on those points. I already got the wheels and tires I want, so I am good there. Bonus for me is that these guys are within driving distance, so I can save on shipping, but not sure If I will need UCAs with these if I would be keeping it close to stock height. If I would, then that delays it a bit more. I'm already pleased with the Tundra (pretty sure I stole her name from you too) so I can be patient.
Also thinking I wanna pay off the Quadzilla before I do much more on the truck.

    Very nice!
Yeah, I'm now starting the internal debate of do I stick with my 20's or do I try to find some of the 18's people sell and have them powder coated black. I have time. But there is always something to buy for the Tundra!

Personally, I'd go 18s, but I am biased. I've never liked big wheels. I prefer the thicker sidewall for appearance and function. You can also check local dealers to see if you can get take offs for cheap. Lots of dealers do aftermarket wheels to get that fat mark up for the "upgraded" wheels. Never hurts to offer a trade for your 20s if you are really sure about it.

Anything past 2.5" of lift edges you towards a required UCA upgrade to retain factory alignment specs...so these will seemingly work on whatever setting you desire...of course, all trucks seem to be different but that's a general rule of thumb I've lived by and has served me well

Hey guys I’m seriously looking into picking up the Falcons with tow/haul, my main concern is Reusing the front springs, mine are at 115,xxx miles and getting some Settling/Sag from beating around the ranch. Besides I want to add a Ranchand Summit front bumper and an concerned about the weight causing it to settle/sag even more, that’s my main hold up right now.

@kittyhawk buy a new set of springs? Just make sure they are the same height as the OEM springs and I don't see it causing an issue.
Full disclosure: I haven't looked at springs but know there is some variation is size based on what I've read on here. The Falcon shocks are designed to fit the oem springs so as long as you get the same size the fit and function shouldn't be affected.

Thanks for the fast reply, I’ll call a few shops around to see if they have Any takeoffs with low miles laying around. Maybe I’ll get lucky...

Here’s a few pics of mine. I also put on the Coachbuilder +2 shackles. I did have to have the 4x4 shop grind my rear shock mounts bc when I had bed loaded down the reservoir was way too close. Quick and simple fix but something to look for. I think every truck is different.

How long have you had em on? Opinions? Can you compare them to any other setup?

Had them for about 8 months. They definitely provide a firmer ride but soak up rough roads. Most of my time is city driving. I think these shocks really shine when bed is loaded down. Turn the dials and the truck just feels planted and confident.

I have nothing to compare them to. First lift I’ve ever had on any of my trucks. I can say you wouldn’t be disappointed. Price is very equivalent to 6112s and 5160s rear from bilstein plus you get a 3 year warranty.
