Glad to hear the off road update. Life has been smashing me pretty hard lately and have had zero free time to hit the trails. I have done a couple of gravel roads and there is a very noticeable difference in comfort. But not really gotten to test them out.

I did however just do about 2k miles of interstate driving in 2 days solo.
I hit nearly every type of interstate possible. Curvy mountains the truck feels very very stable at speed in the turns. Absolute crap under construction interstate it soaked up everything nicely, long flats which were smooth as silk.
2k miles in 2 days absolutely sucks by yourself. I have driven this route a number of times but never alone. There is this one super long bridge that feels like your back end is just flopping up and down the way the sections are spaced I guess. I have done it in a couple different SUVs and I hammer down to get across the bridge. You watch trucks and the beds just look like they are bouncing all over the place.
It still sucked with the Falcons but it was not nearly as bad. Though my Coachbuilders may have had a bunch to do with it really holding the bed together.

    Still loving these things!

Got a question for y'all running falcons and I might be a little late.... I have a 2015 limited. Just ordered the falcons and 20x9 fuels with +20 offset. Have them coming in with 305/55 installed...... Will they fit without cutting metal????

@Hambone1 what height are you going to run your Falcons at?

I believe the manual says level height is 2.25". I wanted to go a bit taller so I added a .25" top out spacer and 1" rear blocks. No issues with the TSS either.

MaxPower, what brand spacers are you running and are you still on OEM UCA's? Just wondering if alignment worked out for you.

You can also just run it in "heavy accessory" position if you want a bit more height.

For those not in the group buy thread…

Shocks are installed, and I like them in the 20 or so miles I’ve put on them. Handles small stuff really well. As soft as stock platinum shocks, but more firm and sporty (if that makes sense).

Only issue so far is (which may just be the design), is that when hitting speed bumps at 30mph plus there is a slight clunk’ish noise. Not sure if that is the front bump stops hitting?

Besides the odd / new noise, the shocks handle the speed bumps much better than stock.

edit: Another member is saying the noise I’m hearing is the springs resetting, and that it goes away after a few hundred miles. I hope so! He also makes a great point in that “race truck parts make race truck noises”, lol.

Went with the level setting, and got right at 2” of lift. Sits almost perfectly level now.

First number is inches from hub to fender flare, second is ground to fender flare.

    DF- 22”, 36.25”
    PF- 22 36.33
    DR- 24 38.33

    DF- 24 38.5
    PF- 24.25 38.5
    DR- 24 38.5
    PR- 24 38.5

    LOOKS GREAT!

They definitely "break in" and just keep getting better and better. I have some more rubber than you do on 18 inch rims (295/7/18), so I suspect that has an effect on overall ride as well.

Haha, and yeah, the 285/55r20’s are too small now.

Thanks for all the info guys!
I’m getting mine stalled this Thursday. I have an SR5 2021 Tundra. Will I be fine placing the falcons on with the fronts on heavy accessory and placing coachbuilder +2 shackles on the back and then fitting with 295/70/r18 Faulken wildpeak at3’s????

You'll be fine so as long as you add a bumper on the front...it won't give you much shock stroke without some added weight...if you aren't planning in an aftermarket bumper, just use the "level" setting and go with the wind!

That tire size will be good at level or medium setting?

I'm running them on level setting and only had to do minor trimming to fit 295/70/18's

In re reading your post. I’m new to this… so sorry. What do u mean “put on level and go with the wind”. I get that your kidding but do u think I’m going to be sitting high in the back or something?

No worries...no, I was meaning set your front on the "Level" setting in-lieu of the heavy accessory setting if you do not intend on putting a heavier aftermarket bumper on the front end. Your rear with 2" CB shackles will be fine either way, but you'll be happier, in my opinion, on the level setting and not the heavy accessory setting on the front..." go with the wind" is merely meaning, go drive and have fun and smile lots!

Why are you wanting to use the heavy accessory setting without heavy accessories?
    Just for added height?
This is a leveling kit and nothing more nor is it intended to be. If you want more height you should looking at a different kit.

    You just wait
Alternately he could use some shims for a little more height

Theoretically sure. But if you are wanting height above level one should probably look at a kit that is made for more height and not just level.
Kind of silly to use a product out of spec or intention when there are options out there that are made to do it.

You won't find me arguing with you, just giving him an option if he was set on these shocks. I agree there are other routes to go for 3 inches though my gut tells me these would still feel great with shims.

I think I should add a little context here. I’ve done a tone of research and settled on these falcons as they seem to be the best bang for the money. With living in Minnesota they seem to have been also built to battle salt and corrosion. I haul a heavy boat and camper once in a while along with gear and go out west on hunting trips as well. These shocks just fit everything I need. At the same time I want to fit 295/70/R18 tires. By my research they barely fit. I called Teraflex today to ask a couple questions about shackles and the adjustments of the front shocks. The gentlemen that I spoke to on the phone told me the front heavy accessory setting was for just that or if you just wanted extra height alone and he said it would not affect the ride whatsoever. I thought I would pick the brains here as I’ve heard guys say they were going all the way up to make for more clearance, I just haven’t heard a lot of feedback on how it rides.

Shammy - my install is only a couple of weeks completed, at most. With limited time and experience take my comments as such: I think the ride is very similar to stock, not harsh, nor is it squishy. I feel the overall ride-quality is more controlled and possibly most noticeable in corners - less body lean. Stock was a very good ride so I compliment the Falcons on their accomplishment to keep that aspect.

I went with the level setting and glad I did not go with the heavy accessory. I considered it since I am planning a front bumper/winch. Not worried what little rake will result if I do that mod.

I too researched all the options and determined the Falcons were the best choice. I have no experience with the tow/haul settings so hopefully someone else can provide some feedback.

Just run a narrower tire. A 275 wide tire will fit with no issues and perform just as well for your needs, weigh less, and cost less.
I don’t understand the rage of these big wide tires. Sure some folks need that much tire but I’d wager they aren’t even 15% of folks on here.

Interesting comparison. I find mine to ride no where near stock.
The stock ride was horrible. These are fantastic and perform flawlessly and far more smooth, comfortable and controlled on all surfaces.
Highway driving is the most noticeable improvement at it is like you are on rails.
Crap roads and gravel roads are now a treat to drive and I find myself accelerating towards speed bumps to feel the system work.
In stock form I did all I could to drive around speed bumps.

So, got some travel time finally with our trailer and I have to say the Falcons are awesome, two trips so far. I actually forgot to switch it to "Tow Haul" on the shocks and could feel every bump and jolt twice over. As soon as I threw the switch it was so stable. Freeway driving was great. My first trip with these was actually through Price Canyon Utah. If anyone knows that road, it is terrible, but the Falcons were solid. I have them set at level in front so a bit of squat with the trailer attached.

Nice! What setting did you go with?

I just did 3,800 miles towing my boat (roughly 5k lbs) set on the middle setting. Absolutely perfect! Hit a bump or dip and zero drama. Just rebounds and stops. I love these shocks. Mine have been on for almost 2 years now.

I don't know anything about the road you were on but from Flagstaff to Page AZ has got to be the place where they train road builders to build roads. HORRIBLE! Just random undulations the whole way.

PS. Red is THE best color.

Question about these; I've seen a lot of discussion about making sure to use the front OEM springs, but not much about the rear, unless I missed it. Is it highly advisable to use an OEM rear leaf spring for best performance, or are folks using aftermarket and/or stiffer rear springs as well?
I think I'm generally convinced that these are what I'm after in terms of performance.
    Thanks
