No, Sir. I've spent money elsewhere, so I'll likely not be doing a suspension of any sort for a long time to come.

I have a Coachbuilder +1 arriving today to put on. Figured I would order new shock cushions while I'm working under there. Should have done it before installing the shocks but hey! What I have works fine and the front is at 1/4" lower than the rear. Thinking the Coachbuilder +1 should level the truck with the boat on.

These part #s are for the rears? You wouldn’t know the part number for the front, would you?

*edit- I can do my own research..just asking if you already know. Thanks.

Are these Coachbuilder shackles better than installing the correct leaf springs to achieve the height you’re after?

Depends on what you are doing with your truck.
If you have a constant load in the rear leafs are probably a better bet. If you are like me who only runs loaded occasionally no need for the springs.

No. If your leaf pack is new, as in new truck with low miles, then adding coach builder shackles will potentially increase your ride quality (per others on this forum) as well as give you the height increase. But, over time, as others will say, your stock tundra leaf pack will sag and you may end up getting new leaf pack anyway. I have a new truck and I will be using the +1 shackles for the ride quality increase as well as the modest lift, all of this because I do not carry heavy loads or tow. Fwiw, if I did either of those two, I'd be getting new leaf packs and coach builder shackles.

Is a 200 lb DECKED system, 100 lbs of tools and crap, 40 lb WaterPORT, and 200 lb shell considered a constant heavy load?

I think most would agree that carrying 500lbs of stuff in/on the bed of the truck would be considered a constant heavy load. If your springs handle it well, I wouldn’t sweat it. If the handling of your truck is adversely affected by squishy springs, then maybe a new leaf pack would be a good idea. 500lbs is less than half of your payload capacity, so the truck should be perfectly fine. Shackles could give you a height bump and better ride quality, but new leafs might tighten everything up more effectively.

Also, there are plenty on the forums who seem to carry around 1000+ on a daily basis, most of which are on aftermarket leaf packs.

Hey hows it going guys, not sure if I may have missed it somewhere but has anyone installed the regular falcon package. The non tow/haul? Would like to see pictures if possible and opinions I don't tow/haul or go off roading.or is it worth it to just get the adjustable rear shocks. Ive been doing as much research as I can before I pull the trigger on any lift system just cant make up my mind on whats the best route. Dont want to spend no more 3k if possible I have a 2020 platinum that Initially i wanted to go with TRD Pro shocks reason is i preferred oe and simple not trying to show off its a daily and family hauler. Yes i realize id be spending 2-3 for pro fox but like i said oe for me. Be great to get your guys opinions?

IMO I would spend the extra $100 and leave the dial at 1.

@LAPlatinum I agree with @John175, if you are considering and planning to buy the Falcons. Spend the little bit more to get the adjustable rears. Nice piece of mind if you ever end up in a situation where you are towing or have a heavy load in the bed. Pretty sure the pictures are the same minus the rears having that dial.

I do off road. I do not tow or haul things frequently.
I spent the extra money. I get 2 loads of mulch a year so it will be used at least twice.
I may need to tow at some point so it will be nice to have the option once I get a chance to get the damn things on.

So let me see if I got this right. If i were to go with the Falcons, these are a better set up than the Bilsteins 6112/6150 combo? If i just want to achieve a leveled stance i should set these at leveled not th3 medium setting, and no additional work needee to rear unless I want to have a little bit of a rake for towing and hauling. The CB shims are only to eliminate the lean on the ds due to the fuel tank etc, no uca needed unless i exceed 3", and the shackles are only to add height to the rear? Sorry im new to the whole lifting and im sure im like everyone else who doesn't want to destroy their truck either

Shims may not be needed at all. The trucks springs are set to account for the lean, so if you mark and move them in the same position to the Falcons, theoretically you shouldn't need to shim anything. If all you are doing is levelling the truck you shouldn't need to do much more than get an alignment afterwards. The TRD PROs come level from the factory, so the factory UCAs should be fine.

AzureNightmare is bang on. At the leveled circlip setting on the front shocks, I'm 1/8" difference between drivers side and passengers side up front, without any shims. Just make sure that you keep the coil springs on their respective side when doing the install, and it should end up equal on both sides...this was my experience anyways

I have the OE UCAs and the alignment afterwards was within factory specs

I added CB+2 shackles to maintain some rake with a canopy and to make sure the TSS was happy

I had the 6112s on my previous truck, a Toyota Tacoma. So while it's not an exact comparison, I will say so far I prefer the Falcon set up for both on road ride and the limited low speed off road driving I've done. They took a couple hundred kilometers or so to break in, but overall I'm happy with the purchase

Shims should not be needed with the Falcons since your re using the factory Springs. They come with different spring lengths from the factory to offset the "lean" you only need to consider shims with the 6112 since they use different coils. My truck sits perfectly with the factory springs and the Falcons set at Level.

Now that I have put about 1000 miles or so on my Falcons I do think +1 Shackles might be in my future when towing. The truck squats slightly when the boat is hooked up and the bed is empty but I tow the boat longer distances a couple times a year to Florida and up to the lake and with the bed loaded and boat hooked up I think the squat may be more than I am willing to accept. Still need to take some measurements with everything loaded up I will try and post some pics as well.

The factory Spring rates are actually the same between sides.
The factory drivers side coil is actually taller to compensate for weight of the driver and fuel.

Is the shackle necessary for the TSS to work?

I feel your pain with those bushings! I bet it's extra fun getting them out of a set of leafs that have been in service for several years. What size shackles did you go with?

So barring no more hiccups tomorrow is the day. I plan to install the Falcons, front sway bar relocation blocks, differential drop, and SDHQ ABS sensor covers.

I have Coachbuilder +1 shackles, TRD rear sway bar, and RCI skid plates. I’ll install those later. Life does not give me time to do much at once but I also want to do the installs in stages to see what actual benefits each thing is actually giving me if any.

I have heard some folks having some issues. My truck is a 2014 so we’ll see how it goes when I get a chance to do mine. I plan to use a ball joint press. Though I think the issue may be folks are not using a large enough cup to bush the bushing out. They are pushing on the rubber which eventually just slides itself out of the sleeve. Then you have to make some cuts in the sleeve to get it out. If you use a cup the same size as the sleeve and push out on the sleeve and not the bushing itself that should do the trick. Of course with a good overnight soaking of Kroil or something is the sort.

I went with the +1 shackle and think a +2 would also be fine to keep the "Level" look.

I had the originally TRD Sport shocks with sway bars and the truck still handles like it did before with the added benefit that it takes rough road and railroad tracks way better...on rails. At this point I think I am done with major mods and will now enjoy my ride.
