Fake v8 Sound Can Be Disabled

Which hardware did you buy and did you use cracked software? I couldn't get my cable that I bought off Amazon to work

 

Are you using Windows 10 or earlier? I've tried and tried on Win 11 with no success but got it working with Windows 10 with the M-VCI cable off Amazon. This was on a Win 10 virtual machine on a MacBook with the patched SW installation of TechStream.

 

I read that all the cracked software is virus ridden so I did it on an old POS Walmart laptop I've got in the closet that's running Windows 7. Everything I read said it should work fine. Software boots up and everything, but never finds the vehicle

 

installing just techstream will not get it to work. you also have to install the drivers for the adapter separately.

 

I design software for work and and am pretty techy. I installed all drivers, software, and followed all the instructions I found online to the T, but the software never finds the vehicle.

 

just making sure you installed the drivers that came with the cable. just be careful as those china knock off's come with hidden payloads out the kazoo unless you picked one up from a usa manufacturer and not a usa reseller of china knock off's

 

I bought the carista odb and was hoping it had the option to delete fake engine sound.....but unfortunatly not..... But at least I was able to remove seatbelt chimes

 

Where you able to get the auto up from fob to work??

Sorry for general lack of reply to this thread (despite promising to do so).
Been busy, but more importantly...all my TS work has thus far been done with ver.1.4.8 of USB->ODB2 interface.
I am/was wondering if there is a difference in options displayed with a newer version (2.0.something).

So, while all the info I have is valid for 1.4.8 VIM., I am waiting for my 2.0 version cable to be delivered today.
I will reconfig my TS for that, and verify if all I see now is exactly the same with the newer interface.

I was planning to make a new TeachStream general/specific thread in the future, and still may, just so we all have 1 place to go for all TS-related things, but for now, here's what is possible to change in TS ver.17.0 (latest), with 1.4.8 VIM:

Appreciate the update! I will be sure to ask the Tech guy tomorrow for the P/W Up feature and report back if they do or do not see it.

Also, I assume all of those Auto Up/Down functions are ON from the factory, right?

 

Correct; only the highlighted selection was "disabled" by default before my changes.

Additionally,
If you are asking them to enable "P/W down with transmit" then consider whether or not you want the sunroof to open with them.
It is a separate, and configurable option.
(I chose to disable mine; don't want sunroof opening with windows down...as I'll usually roll all my windows down with remote when its really hot, then once I get in the truck I'd most likely end up having to close the sunroof and rolling the cover back up...thus kind of defeating the usefulness of that particular feature).

**In the even of rolling down my windows by mistake and/or not knowing about it, then having it rain...I'd rather have only windows rolled down, and not the sunroof!
And now we know why this isn't enabled for everyone by default; just imagine the claims against Toyota ("I didn't know it would roll the sunroof/windows down when my dog sat on the remote, and it rained for 10hrs after!!")

This is the special edition TRD exhaust note - available only on ML2037+

 

This is totally the opposite of what the thread is for but.. can we increase/toggle it to sound like the TRD Pro fake engine noise? I know it is louder and throatier (if that makes sense).

If you get the upgraded TRD exhaust, will it have different exhaust notes coming into the speakers??

 

I think all of us Gen 2 and Gen 2.5ers are feeling a little left out... Is there anyway we can get TTV6 exhaust notes through our speakers if we're running a V8 w/TRD exhaust??
