Factory wiring for amplifier already installed in a non JBL base Tundra???

I have a 2010 Tundra. No JBL, no amplifier. I am replacing the head unit today.

I am thinking about adding an aftermarket amplifier later.
My question: is there a factory installed amplifier wiring running from the head unit to the amplifier location in a model without amplifier? Is the wiring already there?

If yes, installing the aftermarket amplifier would be easier with wiring adapters.....

Any experience with this?

Doubt it if you’ve got a base model truck. You can pull down the 2010 wiring diagrams to see what the wiring looks like, and you can look under your passenger seat to see if there is an extra plug down there that matches the one for the amp.

Sorry - somehow missed your reply. I’ll pull up the info in a bit and post up a screen shot.

 

For the 2010, there are three plugs for the separate amp under the seat:
K15


K16 & K17


All three are under the passenger seat if you have them


To figure out the actual wiring on those, you'll want to pull down the EWD for the 2010 from this post:
