I noticed in the settings for the maestro deep in the radio menus it gives me the option to choose which mic is used. I’ll try and find it later and get a screen shot of it. I’m not saying the factory mic is on But phone calls go on like normal, also wife noted it sounds different when I am plugged in Apple CarPlay vs Bluetooth.

Quick question… Was there a difference between the call quality (how your voice came through) before and after the head unit was installed?

I’ve replaced my factory mic with one that came with a Boss head unit. The Boss wasn’t great, so I just put in a KENWOOD with the Maestro RR2, but the mic isn’t working. I’ll try with the KENWOOD mic next weekend. I think I’ll put it into the dash with a grommet, too. Good idea.
