I’m new so entitled to a couple of stupid questions so here goes #1…if the truck comes with a 3/36 and something goes wrong you have 0 outlay. If you layer the extended warranty on top of that what benefit is it in the first 3 years? Stupid question #2…if you purchase the 10yr100 starting in year 4 is that from that point forward or the time reverts back to original purchase date of tundra?

The extended warranty commences from the day the truck was placed into service.

Thank you that’s very helpful. I have a feeling the answer to #1 is no real benefit other than paying current pricing.

It's my understanding that the warranty (for new trucks) starts by model year. Say you have a 2024 and wait until 2027 to buy the 10yr/125k warranty .... it would still only go through year 2034 not 37?!

Dumb question, but when you purchase the warranty, does it automatically show up when a dealer is looking at your truck (online database?)? Or do you have to carry a booklet with you for proof of warranty?

So why lock your $ up in an extended warranty in first 3 years?

I think most folks choose to buy now because they're fairly certain the price will increase in the future.

Yes, and since you can't purchase past 3/36k, why wait?

I thought we weren’t supposed to list pricing since it jeopardizes Toyota cracking down on out of state purchases

Makes sense…guess it comes down to what you can do with $1500 invested between purchase date and year 4.

Warranty will start at first purchase date and mileage. So if you buy a used 2023 with 10,000 miles, it starts whenever original owner purchased the truck amd whatever mileage it may have had on it, usually no more than say 100 miles if it had been test driven some.Truck I bought was originally put into service in June of 2023, so that's when warranty clock started

    Nothing.
FD responded to my online request in 10 minutes and the pricing was very favorable. Appreciate all the advice in this thread.

Can someone send me the contact info for the warranty please?

I am looking at a 2022 tundra platinum and the dealer is trying to sell me an extended warranty (bumper to bumper)
What is the benefit of the Toyota warranty over the extended?
    Thanks!!

I swore I saw someone say on some forum somewhere that the extended warranty covers up to 2 or 3 inches of lift and I feel like I’m an idiot for even asking this but does anyone know anything about this or am I crazy

I also went with FD warranty, which is done through Greenfield Toyota in Massachusetts. After I submitted the form online I received an email with additional info that was needed from Troy along with their prices. Smooth process so far, just waiting on whatever Toyota sends me now.

Anyone else get their quote rejected any time they try to submit on FD-warranty? I have tried on multiple devices and it tells me the server has rejected my quote for to many URLs being used. Not sure how to bypass this. But curious if anyone else ran into this issue?

Yes happened to me. On the submission form, do not refer to any url. As an example, when filling in my referral, I was entering Tundras.com. Failed. Changed answer to Tundras and it passed. After this was resolved, I received their response quickly but then it went to my Junk folder, so be sure you look there if the response doesn’t appear in your inbox.
