tell your,dealer you will shop around at another dealer over the next 3 years.

 

Picked up a 5/100k for a fantastic price from the contact another forum member here gave me.

 

I also went with Jerry. Amazing pricing (~1400$ for 7 year 125K miles)

 

I thought Jerry had one for 10yr/125k around 1500. Maybe it was more.

 

Who is Jerry and how do I get ahold of him?

New to the forum. I am looking at a 2020 Platinum w/ 43k miles, do any of the contacts from this board sell warranties for used trucks outside of the 3 year 36k mile window?

The dealer is a reputable large dealer in Texas, but not a Toyota dealership. I know Toyota has different products when over 36k miles, but may not be available to me.

 

At that mileage your only option is through a 3rd party warranty company unfortunately.

 

Went and bought my new 24 Limited today. Finance guy said Toyota only offers 8yr 75k extended. I told him about a contact I have that is selling a 10-year 100K warranty through toyota.

The finance guy said that it's either done through a third party or through the dealership itself and not through Toyota corporate as they don't go that high.

So for those of you who went through Jerry, are you 100% sure that it is done through corporate? And that its not done through a dealer third party or something like that? I texted Jerry today and will be talking with him on Monday as he is not at work today. I simply just wanted to ask for some validation or documentation from his end.

Signed for a new 24 Limited last night and of course the finance guy force fed us the extended warranty and maintenance plans which we rolled into the deal. After reading much of this thread I'm sure I paid way to much. So if anyone would be so kind, please PM contact info for alternatives and thanks in advance

Hi! Second post here, after one in the newbie section. I am also looking for the warranty contact. Please and thank you!

 

my local Toyota dealership offered an 8yr 125k mile factory platinum warranty so I think your dealer is wrong. They just don’t want to offer more years or miles.

 

How long do we have to buy a toyota factory warranty? Is it up to 36 mo/36k miles?

 

Correct. You have to buy before the factory warranty runs out.

Correct. Some dealerships don't seem to be offering all of the options that should be available from Toyota. I've also seen this first hand when buying the prepaid maintenance plan. Toyota advertises an option covering up til 75K miles which I wanted to buy. My local dealership kept telling me that they only go to 50K even when I referred them to the info on Toyota's own website. Another call to Jerry and he happily sold me the prepaid maintenance plan I was looking for. I think it's probably due to less of a profit margin on some options versus others and they likely want to push whatever brings in the most for the dealership.

Got the paperwork for warranty. Its from Toyota itself, with midwest toyota as the selling dealer name

 

Appreciate the follow up. Just got with him yesterday and ordered the 10y/100k. Good deal and really nice guy.
