Any chance Jerry has as friend up here in Canada who’s offering the same discounts?
Or, is anyone aware of a Canadian Jerry?

This is all I know about our Canadian friends.
    https://www.toyota.ca/toyota/en/owners/warranty-and-coverage/supplementary

I will send you some names and maybe they can talk to you about what they know.
Seems Canada has different rules then USA.

    Good luck.

Thanks @TBS I have and understand the details of the extended warranty. I’m just trying to find an F&I person here in Canada who is willing to deal as Jerry is in the US.

Hey all, finally picking up my '23 Platinum today. They quoted me $4k for 5yr/125k. I laughed at the cost. Are these cheaper extended warranties you guys are talking about through Toyota?

Pm sent, oh boy you are going to have your mind blown lol. Yes what Jerry sells is the Toyota Platinum $0 deductible warranty. He doesn’t deal in 3rd party warranties.

Does anyone know if the gold wheel and tire warranty can be voided with larger tires?

i think the toyota backed wheel warranty only applies to oem wheels. if you add aftermarket rims those wont apply, unless you get a dealer 3rd party wheel warranty.

Thanks for the help. So I called my dealership, they said it covers up to a 35” tire. And claim can also be processed at discount tire.

that sounds like a 3rd party but i could be wrong. if its a toyota backed plan you should be getting a booklet from toyota with the fine details related to your vehicle specs on the inside front cover.

It’s through Toyota. Booklet is at home, so would need to get home to check fine print. But the finance department at purchase last year, and again today, validated that up to a 35” tire would be covered. We’ll see, hopefully won’t need to find out.

Bit of a noob question here, but this is my first first brand new vehicle, and I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Got a deal on the 0/100k Toyota warranty, but I have some mods that I'd like to do, and it's unclear if they'll cause me problems! Not sure how strict Toyota is about this stuff, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

    -Wheels/tire upgrade
    -Airlift suspension
    -Aftermarket tow mirrors (when available)

They obviously aren’t going to cover your aftermarket parts but here’s my experience with Toyota and others on warranties. Of course, I could always be wrong and there are a million variations on aftermarket upgrades that might change how it’s covered, so don’t take my word for gospel.

Wheels and tires won’t void a warranty. I would assume aftermarket tow mirrors wouldn’t either but I guess it could depend on what you had, and what you put on. For example if you had BSM with cameras in the OEM mirrors, and you change to a different mirror they probably aren’t going to cover if you have an issue with the BSM system.

Suspension is pretty muddy water I’ve seen people say that adding something as small as leveling spacers voided their suspension coverage while others said it was still covered. This is honestly part of the reason I didn’t want to lift or level my truck. Besides you can fit decently sized wheels and tires (295/70R18) on the TRD Off-Road.

Ultimately if you change or do something they can blame for whatever issue you had they probably have grounds to not cover that issue under warranty. On the other hand, doing something that may void a part of your truck’s warranty doesn’t void the warranty in totality.

I reached out to the contacts discussed in this thread and they replied to me - they unfortunately don't have any Toyota Canada colleagues... Sadly we don't have a Canadian Jerry (yet).

I was just about to quote some info from another Canadian member, but now realize he quoted you! So there is no sense passing that along to you, ha!

That info you shared (Canadian Extended Warranty thread) was great - specifically about having 30 days to decide and that ECP can be purchased from a dealer other than the one you are dealing with. My truck arrives this week and I will be using this information as leverage when I sit down to discuss extended warranty.

Best of luck. Let us know how you do. So far I’ve contacted over two dozen dealerships via email and or their websites. Around a dozen have responded so far. They range from not interested to almost $1000 off.

I got a lifetime warranty on my 2022 for $3k. Per the paperwork it covers everything from the valve covers to the Diff seals. I went ahead and did the 10 year warranty on electronics too.

Lifetime? That sounds like an aftermarket warranty.

I suggest to consider canceling it and getting Toyota factory warranty from Jerry here

The lifetime warranty is through Toyota of Denton, Tx. They do it with all of their vehicles. It's pretty crazy. I didn't actually pay for the warranty, but I I paid $3k dealer markup. ( so I paid for it in a way) They do a lifetime powertrain warranty on their new cars. The warranty is applicable at any dealer in the US, and I can have my maintenance done at other places as well, it isn't required to return there for service. I do have to take the truck back there every 7 years though for inspection to keep the warranty. Worth it.
