Extended Warranty

Just an update. I sent the pricing sheet to a bunch of members that PM'd me over the past few weeks.

Went in to get my SR5 Premium on Saturday and got the dealer to match the $1,630 amount for the 6yr/125k warranty. They initially quoted me 2k for it. At first I was really happy that they matched the price without any arguing but now that I think about it, I bet I could have gotten it even lower. Anyways, if you want the price sheet that I have message me, I am happy to share.

@TBS I just got home with my new to me 2022 1794. I did buy the extended warranty but I just got the vehicle service contract (bronze) for 96 months or 100k miles for $2300. Can you please pm me if there is a better deal to be had. Thank you in advance

 

Is the best way to cancel bad deals to call the dealership? Within the 30 days and don’t want to go into the dealership again

 

Yes you have to chase the finance guy I think

 

If you got a Toyota Financial Services warranty from the dealer, you should be getting a welcome packet from Toyota within that 30 days. You then can canx through Toyota. https://www.toyotafinancial.com/us/en/contact_us.html

 

This thread saved me many thousands (less than half). Selling dealer was in the 3500-4000K range for “platinum” and that wasn’t even the actual Toyota warranty. Finance guy said he couldn’t get the Toyota warranty and acted like he never heard of it . I went with the forum recommended info and got a 10 year 100,000 miles with zero deductible for a very great price .

 

I'm new to the forum and I am currently shopping for a 2023 tundra limited crewmax. One dealer I talked to says they only sell zurich extended warranties. Any opinions on zurich and maybe prices. I would be more than happy with a toyota platinum warranty. I don't know what they would charge. I'm retired and this is possibly my last tundra. Any help would be much appreciated.

Bronze (meaning just extended warranty, no maintenance or tire care) The 96m/100k miles zero deductible, you can get for $1,925 or less with some haggling. Good luck.

Just picked up my Platinum and finance guy killed my happy buzz. Talked extended warranty for 20 min. Basic 100k extended was $5200, said no thanks, said he'd be right back, 5min later says boss said he could offer $3900, said no thanks, then he says how bout $2700. By now I'm disgusted and insulted. Said it would not be available once I left the lot.
Haven't read this entire thread but should I be purchasing some type of Ext warranty?

 

You can purchase the warranty from any dealer anytime now till the mile or day before your current one expires. But the prices go up longer you wait. Scroll up and you can read what i paid for just the extended warranty.
