@TBS could I have this info also? Going to be making an out of state purchase soon and I don’t want the finance guy to take advantage of it when they try to sell me the warranty or for my local dealer to be sour when they learn I bought from out of state.

You can gracefully decline their offer. It is your money and you are the customer.
Also don't let anyone tell you that you can only purchase an extended warranty (VSA) on a new vehicle from your local dealer or the dealer that is selling you the vehicle. You can purchase from anywhere up until your original factory expires and since it is a Toyota product it is honored at Toyota dealerships in the lower 48.

Off topic a tic. I bought a policy for what I thought was a good price on 12/20/22. I have never received any info on the policy and was wondering if thats normal. I would like to read what I bought not just the word of the dealer guy. All I recall is it was 10 years / 100K miles. Guess I need to call the dealer and ask.

 

This is not normal. I go to the a receipt letter from dealership where I bought it within about two weeks, and official warranty booklet from Toyota within 3 weeks and prepaid maintenance within about a month.

So this is actually true!

There is a 1 year grace period, so if you don't reach the miles of prepaid maintenance within the years specified, you have another year to take your truck for the maintenance service.

This is written in the pre-paid maintenance booklet and also confirmed my my local service advisor.

Also my service adviser confirmed that he can see my new warranty and pre-paid maintenance in his computer.

Final verdict, Jerry is legit! At a much lower price than the dealer near you!

Call the dealership and find out what is going on.

Just an update. I sent the pricing sheet to a bunch of members that PM'd me over the past few weeks.

Went in to get my SR5 Premium on Saturday and got the dealer to match the $1,630 amount for the 6yr/125k warranty. They initially quoted me 2k for it. At first I was really happy that they matched the price without any arguing but now that I think about it, I bet I could have gotten it even lower. Anyways, if you want the price sheet that I have message me, I am happy to share.

 

Just picked up a hybrid Platinum. @TBS or @vegask, could you send me the price sheet and contact info please? Thank you!

@TBS I just got home with my new to me 2022 1794. I did buy the extended warranty but I just got the vehicle service contract (bronze) for 96 months or 100k miles for $2300. Can you please pm me if there is a better deal to be had. Thank you in advance

 

Is the best way to cancel bad deals to call the dealership? Within the 30 days and don’t want to go into the dealership again
