Man I think I did good on cost of my 18SR and getting new wheels in deal !

But according to the prices U guys are paying I really got screwed on the warranty end by my dealer hear in Maryland and with less bells and whistles to repair on my strip down truck!!

    WTF!!!:spending:

    I paid- $2450 for platinum zero 8/75k

just make sure its a Toyota financial ext. warranty.

my current town the we only have 1 Toyota dealer and they want around $2500 for an ext. warranty and they wouldn't budge. I went about 100 miles and found a Toyota dealer that offered the same 8/100 zero platinum for $1355. granted its about 200-300 more than what I can find outside the state but the cost of having to drive to finalize one (due to dealer rules that vary and they wont deal via email).

I have bought several ext Toyota warranties from this dealer at a reasonable cost that I bought our tundra from them instead of local. they matched the local dealer for a tundra discount but they gave a better trade in (3k more than the local dealer). my son is looking to get a rav4 and we will be dealing with this new dealer than the local one that I have bought roughly 12 vehicles from.

change of management is what I think has soured me to them. but hey its a free market.

in the end shop around and bounce numbers off other dealers. some are willing to make some profit than none as was my case.

    good luck

Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
    My Dealership Hosed me.

I bought a used Tundra (well used). They gave me the Gold extended warranty for $1800. Terms were 2 years from the date of purchase and/or 24k miles. It only covered internal component failures (Engine, Transmission, Front/Rear Differential, Driveshaft, etc).

It was honestly worthless and money very poorly spent.

That would be the best deal anyone has received. I had checked with dozens of dealers and the prices listed were the best I could find, I'm sure there are better out there, I just never found them.

I had some issues early on and corporate reimbursed me the $1600 for "settlement of issue" ... So essentially I got my 8/125 for $0 yippee!

I always trade before my factory warranty runs out so I don't buy extended warranties.

honestly not much reason to get Toyota then... if I was someone who changed trucks frequently I'd be all over F150 and Ram

No but I like getting a new vehicle every couple years and as a small business owner it helps with taxes also.

Nah, don't really like either of them. Got to buy what you like and after almost a week in the new truck I'm really enjoying it.
