I have the towing package on my 2012 SR5, TRD, 4x4, 4.6L. I am about to acquire a 8.5 ft wide by 24 ft long trailer. My side mirrors aren't going to be able to see anything but the front wall of this huge box.

Any recommendations for extending my current mirrors OR replacing them with a different type of mirror?

    Thanks,

    swashplate

There are plenty of aftermarket options out there for fairly cheap, but reviews seems to be hit and miss as far as quality. I've never heard complaints about OEM tow mirrors, but depending on where you buy them they're either expensive or very expensive. You can also get those crappy extensions for your stock mirrors, but if you're towing with any regularity you should just get tow mirrors. Towards the bottom of this thread is a link to the OEM mirrors for about as cheap as you'll find them. Good luck!

Will the Tundra still fit through a 9ft wide garage door with aftermarket extendable mirrors? Anyone already have them?

My Tundra will not fit in my 9 foot garage door with the new towing mirrors, I would have to fold them back.

Thanks for the info on the extended mirrors. Looks like I'll be getting the pre-molded fasten on type. Had a set for my Ford, and I don't tow that much anyway.

I decided to go with these: “SCITOO for Toyota. Towing Mirrors that fit 2007-2016 Toyota Tundra. Larger Glass, Power Control, Heated, Turn Signal, Manual Extending & Folding (black)“ from Amazon. Fit perfectly. Added features that I didn't have before - secondary, bottom, wide angle mirrors and working turn signals and side lights on the outside edge of the mirrors. My factory Tundra mirrors didn’t have either, now I have both and they work. I won’t know if the heaters work until I get some frost.

I went to pick up a smaller trailer, 6 x 10, that was about 1 1/2 hours away. Some of the driving was on interstate, some on small country back roads. No vibrations at all.
