It’s not necessarily the inability to park a vehicle with a 6.5 bed. People use trucks for different reasons. Interior space in the crew max is fantastic. Double cab interior space is just ok. Having both crew max and the 6.5 does make this into a different vehicle. Can be harder to park in a garage, as in length.
I’ve read above some people have to sleep in their trucks needing the 6.5 bed. This is a different story. And probably should be figuring out why they need to sleep in their trucks over making fun of others that don’t have these problems.

I don’t know about all this man card bs, but for me super simple, 6.5 won’t fit in garage so it’s out

Depends. I have one kid; use my bed fairly regularly, and I live nowhere near a city. (Ozarks.) For me, I got a CrewMax (with the 5.5' bed) for two big reasons:

    1. I've never found myself bemoaning the loss of a foot of space in the bed as much as I've found myself absolutely HATING the lack of backseat space anytime >2 people ride in my truck.
    2. I own a 14' trailer and anything that doesn't fit in the bed will absolutely fit in the trailer.

I won't say I've wanted less bed space, but I just don't find myself having a huge issue with it.

Thanks to all for your feedback. I’ve locked in the 6.5’ box allocation with a delivery date of late April/early May 2023. We’ll be using the truck for outdoor adventure and plenty of travel and camping so the 6.5’ box will be put to good use. The excitement is building!

Or wants to use the bed for something like camping gear, or supplies? Less of a creep factor actually using a tent. ;)

Ya could be good use of the space! A buddy just got a new taco and I grabbed that pick for him.

If my original order had completed, I would have shortbox crew in lunar rock.

Everyone has reasons to like what they having just spent a ton of money on their Tundra They are all good trucks in the end.

6.5' all day if you have the opportunity. It will also tow better as the longer wheelbase will help with stability. The minimal loss to towing capacity is nothing to write home about.

Had a friend of mine that slept in his truck fairly often. Dude never smelled good. lol I would not say bad but always had a funk to him. I always contributed it to sleeping in that Tundra. His truck never smelled good either but a different odd odor vs his own.
