Believe me, I’d love to buy one like yours just for an overland build. Probably would fit on mountain trails better than a 2nd-3rd gen. Now if only the bank account would cooperate...

I started off wanting a prerunner build, but i have turned into an overlander. They are much more capable, and seem like a blast. Especially the first gens, prerunners are more for racing

EDIT: here is what i will be using to get ideas off of, i love the way this build came together, and am trying to remake it

Damn good inspiration! That’s the first I’ve ever seen one of the Taco-style high clearance rear bumpers on any gen of Tundra.

I like the rear bumper and might be modified mine for the high clearance on the side.

That's why I keep the Gen2 for towing and take the Gen1 for toying and expedition.

been a fan of patriot's stuff for awhile. that thing they put on is a pretty slick setup. wish i was going down to OE to crawl around it a bit. anyone have an idea of what springs they put on there? couldn't really see the sticker. that flat bed and box weighs what? close to 1000lb? add another 500 or so when it's loaded. maybe they added some timbrens or bags? website for the pcor isn't live yet.

so there is. definitely curious on how long they're going to last with that much constant weight. might have to jump over to ExPo and see if anyone over there is over analyzing it...

They got flat fast. It’s definitley not a weight bearing leaf pack, but a pack that can support good weight and keep me a little bit above factory height without hitting my bumps.
I don’t know my exact weight, but I was a bit over. I would say they work as advertised. With as much weight I had, they performed well. Rode really nice with my stock pro billies.
After everything unloaded it got a little arch back. I’m happy with the static height as I fluctuate in weight depending on where I go.

Comparing to my custom alcans on my tacoma, the rxt’s rode a bunch better and supported weight with compromise to Offroad performance. The alcans were a little rough paired with 5100’s

I like that. I also like how the skid widens across in back compared to the RCI, but not the part that's hanging lower down.

Yeah, I’d think 1k would make damn near anything sag. No way that flat bed and “topper” (I guess that’s the right term?) can weigh less than 800 I’d think.

I think we all do but for most of us by the time we have the time and money we are too old to do it. Why couldn't I just work as a kid and as a senior and have all of the middle years to do what I want?

Yep, I had a coworker that just retired. He always said he lived his retirement before he started teaching. Him and his wife worked at white water rafting guides, and ski instructors, backpacked through Europe for a number of years after college before they started their careers.

Agreed. I’d wonder what something similar would cost for a custom job.

Gotta respect the trips they’re taking. I’m blown away by the camera work they pull off while on the trail. The Alaska trips are brutal

I love that flatbed, topper and electrical setup.

I would make one of those partitions a climate controlled dogbox and the other would keep all my bird hunting gear dry and secure. Then I'd spend some serious time bird hunting in super remote areas where no one else would even think of going.

    $15k huh? Yikes!

That would make a bad ass bird hunting rig. Climate controlled dog box, on board water, a fridge, an awning. I would never come home!

You and me both. Two sets of boots, plenty of socks, 2-4 dogs to rotate and some basic food rations and I wouldn't surface again until I ran out of dog food.

I just checked the price on a 200ah lithium battery like the one PCOR uses in their kits. It's an awesome battery. Super light and great performance, but yikes! It's $2k-$2.4k just for the battery.

The REDARC battery managment system is $1.2k. https://redarcelectronics.com/products/the-manager30

So that's about $3.6k of the $15k for that setup.
