I don't even want to know the starting price, do I? It does, however, look better than the Teslas.

 

According to the math it would be about $143k

 

So then it's still $120K..... I'd buy the uglier Tesla for half the cost. It's like women; can't afford a pretty one.

 

Just sold a BMW X3M - just needed better suspension and it would be amazing - and planning on giving the Honda Odyssey to the in laws since they need a vehicle. Looking to replace both with a Model X 6 seater (we have 4 kids, from elementary to college).

Priced out a Model X long range at 79,900, but adding the captain seats and 3rd row adds 6,500 while eliminating the 7,500 tax credit as well. The Model X Plaid is 89,900 and only comes with 6 seats. That's only a 3,500 price difference. 3,500 for insane speed and better brakes? Yes please.

What do you guys think, buy now at this price or wait until year end for possible price drop? And what's the consensus on FSD, buy outright or pay monthly?

Look into whether the tax credit is based off the base price without options, not sure how that is spelled out

 

Tax credit is based on an MSRP under $80k. Anything you add as an option will put it over, from seating to even adding larger wheels. Only auto pilot/FSD can be added later without affecting MSRP for the tax credit.

 

I don't like the OTA stuff.

Not the features I dislike. It's the remote access to my property. To easily abused if seized by the wrong hands.

As long as Musk is in charge, I feel good about it.
He's very pro privacy, anti gov overreach.

Must be 4 hours of slow traffic. 4 hours at 75-80 MPH would be pushing range.

 

this jives with what our 90% charge setting is telling us. After 22k miles.

 

this charging at home thing was a MAJOR consideration for my wife

I prefer her not to go to gas stations. And she has a full tank every morning
