Whatever this forum told me to do
    and.

Tesla needs to figure how to attract more apartment dwellers.

maybe free S/C will do it?

or some incentive for apt builders to install chargers outside. or provide meters for folks to install their own chargers.

    $80k is insane for:
    Suburban
    Tahoe
    f150
    silverado
    lexus almost anything.
    any luxury auto.

It’s especially insane for rapid-depreciation vehicles (I guess that includes Teslas). My wife wants to drive something newer. (She’s currently driving our 09 LX).

Newer LXs—even if 6-8 years old—are still well north of the $50k mark unless they have 100k+ miles on them.

By contrast, an Expedition Max in Limited trim (loaded with everything) from 2022 is barely $42-45k with 50k miles. Suburbans/Yukons don’t seem to depreciate as much.

The 2nd gen Sequoia is insane—you’re looking at $53k-ish for a 2020-2022 with leather seats and not too many miles on it. That’s well north of what I paid for my ‘21 Tundra new. Coming from the LX, we’d probably get a Platinum, but no 2nd gen Sequoia comes with a heated steering wheel, which is a big factor for her.

We shopped a new Sequoia. nice pkg. but I do not want a hybrid.

If you left me alone in the Toyota shop:
    New Sequoia
    5.7L
    10speed

If it could be done, give me the 2.5 gen Tundra with the 5.7 and the 10 Speed. I've got a 5.0 Coyote with a Ferd/GM 10 speed and it feels really good. The 5.7 with 6 gears was good, so with 10.... I'd straight up have a waistband boner driving that.

Hybrid-only really ruined it. Let’s add tons of weight and not much efficiency at all trim levels so an SR5 is $65k+.

I also don’t understand why the Tundra and Sequoia didn’t get the 8-speed that Toyota’s other 3UR-FE vehicles (LC/LX) got in 2016.

your truck merely needs the FP700 pkg to be installed.

IF something happened to my Tundra, I would get:
    1. Ferd f150 Platinum + FP700pkg
    2. Cyberbeast

    in that order.

Whats your opinion on the F150 PowerBoost ?
I like it for the Pro Power.
I saw my second Cyber truck going down the road where I live, a kind of remote lake area north of Toronto.
A visitor or someone lost I guess. Google maps really screws things up in this area.
I have also seen about the same number of new Tundras. Well maybe three 3rd Gen Tundras.

I don't have a strong opinion on the powerboost, other than, I don't like hybrid.

I keep trucks for ~10yrs....so, I need simple & dependable.

around 16minutes, he talks about the Powerboost.

@GODZILLA has an f150. I don’t recall which trim, but I’m sure he did his research and can speak more to it

    edit: he mentions it above

Thx. I did a deep dive - on videos last couple weeks to learn. I saw that one. It was entertaining and I learned. I like simple and dependable too. The issue I am coming to terms with, is that I use my truck (going on 7 years now - low mileage - but the age is still there) on roads, lanes and trails that are not maintained by the municipality. One stretch CAA / AAA would not even go in - unless then can back in for a mile or so. And fwiw - among other things the new Tundra's - smaller cab and bed, bad turning radius, low ground clearance, and no tow hooks is a problem. Just saying. So its Ford right now because the others don't offer this Pro Power option.

I did not see his opinion on the Powerboost trim? We are both on the F150 vs Tundra thread here. The Swiss neutral thread I call it - lol.

I wouldn't touch the powerboost, but only because it's on the ecoboost. I don't like the current trend of undersized engines getting turbos tacked on to achieve minimum performance. I feel the naturally aspirated engine needs to be able to do the job of the vehicle, and forced air is only for excess/fun additional power. That's why I'm not in a 3rd gen Tundra.

5.0 XLT is the sweet spot.
