GM says they will switch to the Tesla connector in 2025, an adapter is supposed to be available in 2024.

Looks like your new CT will need to come in a white wrap to be part of the pack.

Tundra looks like it has the passenger side bed lean. Seems like most do. I posted in the SC thread about that. Wondering if it’s the one wheel peel torque that does it and if being SC’d makes it worse.

i have a tad of lean, but the driveway is sloped to the right, so it’s visually making it exaggerated

and the s/c is probably the culprit of a lot of things!

I have the electrician coming to install the Hubbell plug but was wondering should I do the NEMA plug or just hardwire a level 2 wall connector.

I went with the tesla wall connector...a quality 14-50 plug wouldve been a bit cheaper and given me the same charge speed but it made sense for us to get the wall connector at the price difference. Did the work myself though...borrowed a tubing bender, watched some youtube and away I went. House hasnt burned down in 2 years :)

The nice thing about the 14-50 is you can use any charger if you ever change brand of EV and you can use if for other 240v items. Your electrician can add a 14-50 plug next to a level 2 charger if you want one...just dont use them at the same time!

I prefer hardwired for circuits with that much current, plus you can charge @ 48 amps with the wall connector vs 40 amps with the 14-50 outlet.
They'll both work and are safe but it's just preference, I'm team wall connector :D

Hmm. I’m not sure I want both. The wiring is already ran they have a meh plug there now . I bought the Hubbell commercial plug but was wondering if hardwire would be better but that’s like $450

Does the federal 30% incentive include cost of the direct charger and labor?

I'm not sure, but if the wire is already there you could install the wall connector yourself with a little help from us.
Do you know if the wire is 8 or 6 gauge?

Team level 2 charger. Unless you need that circuit for a welder or air compressor also.

Dropped the MYP off for service. They gave me an S Plaid loaner.

what a fucking mistake that was……Jfc how are these legal to own without a mandatory course

I will say it lets me know that I wouldn’t buy one. It’s simply too low for me. 6’3 220. I feel like my exit is to just roll out the side and eventually get up. I love the car but with my back history, no sir.

But at the showroom we did check out the car but also the Model X and new M3. I love the model 3 refresh I really hope the Y take a lot of it because it’s going to be a great “suv” if it does.

Oh last thing, yoke steering outside of CT is trash. In the CT it makes sense but in the S it doesn’t

lucky! The nice thing is, is its not your tires you need to worry about replacing after. I bet the insurance diff on the plaid over the MYP would be significant too.

The M3 refresh is great. Also, I am with you on the S being too low. I can never get in or out of one gracefully, always about to fall on my face get hung up on the steering wheel.

    I’ll say all this again…..

got to drive the MS to the lake and back. 90 miles each way

man, teslas are too easy to drive

complacency sets, while you are on cruise.

Go to pass a car and you realize what an absolute monster this thing is

I love how you can’t feel the cruise control re-accelerate after slowing down. the tundra has to rev and downshift, etc.

And the dash info improves EVERY time I drive it

Yeah, I say this shit every time I drive it, but it’s just phenomenal tech.

and the highlander…. Front a/c fan motor took a shit, so that’s my project next week

I did play around with the S and with the suspension on monster truck setting it wasn’t so bad.

I think it must have been a 2021 or 2022 it had the sensors and I got to use the summon feature. So much fun.

that center display I didn’t realize I needed until I drove it. It’s super handy and the Tesla vision it was displaying was way more detailed than my MY. I don’t know if the sensors play a part in that though.
