The software continues to improve but the hardware obviously will be different.. (sensors vs cameras) H4 hardware is the latest

Who was the electrician here? The house I bought has a 240v plug installed but my NEMA 14-50 doesn’t seat all the way in. Like a mm gap . If I push in all the way it goes in but slowly backs out to that same gap.

im sure its fine but if I wanted to swap to the huebell commercial plug would it be that hard l? I’ve changed outlets and plugs inside but with this higher voltage is there more to it than cutting power and swapping the plug?

As long as it's the same male and female plug type, it's probably just the difference in manufacturing spec between brands.

Not a big deal at all to swap the outlet, the biggest thing is just double checking the voltage isn't present and forming the wires in the box so they lay in nice when you install the outlet

I guess is it backing out a bit an issue?

First pic is what’s currently on there. It’s raised. And the other is what I want since it’ll be more flush and heard it’s a good commercial plug

The recessed plug is definitely the better outlet to use, higher quality internals for the load that the Tesla pulls

You'll need to add a box for the flush receptacle. Do you have a picture of what you have now?

Those plugs never fit that great, i wouldnt worry about a 1mm gap. But a EV charger rated plug is a good upgrade.

That would work if you have a stud right there to mount the box to, grab a plastic connector for the wire and a raised cover for the 14-50 outlet.

So for those of you that are always in the Tesla news, is Summons and Smart Summons anywhere close to being released for camera version cars?

we have '21 and I still can't get summon to work.

I'm considering installing a Clapper on it to see if that would work.

Been watching the bz4x prices as I want to turn it into a local runabout (golf cart). A few months back they went under 30k. Surprised today, see one for 24k with 20k miles. Betting these get to sub 20k before the year is out.
