My trial is up next week unfortunately.

Went through 2 roundabouts with traffic tonight, flawlessly

 

home did fine. barley any wind or rain.

the warehouses took a whoopin'

we lost 4 industrial roll up doors.


the warehouse themselves are about bullet proof. back in the day they were a large steel mill, so everything is way overbuilt.

when engineers come over, they stand and stare at the construction. it's silly.


only lost power for ~8 hours.

 

at the lake- the water came up to about 2” from the lift motor, so I took is out to be safe

glad I did, some assholes passed is a bass boat and the wake threw water over the bullhead

did I mention he was an asshole?

 

Crazy stuff, glad you guys came through pretty good!

this is our packing warehouse during one of our safety meetings

Hurricane Ike did no damage to us

those are 2 mill grade 75 ton cranes* in the back

dc cranes. So yes they throw sparks when moving

small story- we installed a new 80ton crane in the adjacent warehouse, during load test it deflected 5/8 of an inch

so- we tested the old dc crane with 80tons

How much did it deflect?

zero!


That big grey thing standing above the metal fence is a spare jack pump for a rig in gulf.




*mill grade equipment was made to run 24/7

Reminds me of our 2 powerhouse bridge cranes. Build like a brick shit house. Upgraded controls with VFDs and new motors but all the steel is original to the dam. 480V A/C, 250 ton main hooks

look at the interior of that boat.

and compare it to similar 23' Mastercraft or Nautique. all of which are not in the $258k range.

the interior of the EV boat is lacking. it clearly was not designed by anyone who plays behind the boat for hours at a time.

too many rough corners and stale square-ish seating.

For a good $ comparison...look at the Mastercraft's x-star's interior. it was designed around the comfort of human beings.

I do like the bow & stern thrusters. because I drive a boat fairly awfully.

9k lbs fully ballasted!!! damn, should throw a big ole wake.


maybe these EV boats will suffer the same fate as EV cars?
and inventory will pile up & we will be able to buy these at a huge discount.
I like the Zero maintenance aspect.
