    Keeping a ICE for >10yrs is the greenest thing one can do. hands down. or any vehicle for that matter.

    is an EV more friendly? I doubt it. our MS runs on Natural Gas. which, now that I consider, is Natural!!

    EV's better? nope.

    Tesla is probably better than most, but it's just getting past early adopter status.

    the Big 3 shit the bed on EV's. Gov intervention never works. look at EVERY Big 3 EV. it's shit squared.

    Green? man, just look at the raw materials of an EV, and where/how they are sourced. it's nasty times 2.

    sustainable? I doubt it.


    At the end of the day, please don't buy an EV based on some mind-fVck trick the media plays on you.

    ALL machines run on O&G. EVERY DAMN ONE OF THEM.

    have y'all seen how flimsy the hood is?

    you can't even put a little bit of pressure on it when washing the hood.

    I think that 6" hail would have made it into the frunk.

    ponder that.

    we have smooth brained folks buying EV's based on:
    Federal tax credits
    state tax credits
    thinking they are saving the planet
    saving gas
    virtue signaling


    it's simply a "new green deal" ruse.

    EV's are simply low range automobiles. simply.

    Because he is comparing the fuelling of the ICE to the production of the battery to imply an EV doesn't have a continued environmental cost associated with its operation. It's a typical apples to oranges comparison of a fanatic to try and make a false argument.

    EVs require electricity and generating that requires resources to be used just like in an ICE.

    It is sophistry.

    Yeah, I use it out of habit because it puts the pic into the message where my cursor is when I select “full image”.

    Very helpful for write ups where you want to show pics in-line with the text.

    I don't know why I'm defending EVs so much, the environment played 0% in the decision to buy the Tesla.
    Part of it is a me problem; I don't like shitting on something when it's the popular thing to shit on. :poking:

    My situation is different than most; my power is 100% renewable, cheapest in the country and gas is 2nd highest in the country.

    Still hope gas is around forever, nothing like a road trip in the Tundra!

    I am not shitting on EVs. I'm shitting on the EV BS. I like that EVs are a thing, and they're cool as hell. I don't like the greeny push that is being tied to them.

    I want a Tesla model 3 long range. Finances and where I live are the only thing that stop me.
