Oh nice. I originally got mine in St Louis, MO last July. We just moved to Florida a couple months ago though. Even there, I wasn't close to anything in terms of service. Columbus, OH was my closest location, and now it's a coin-flip between Tampa or Atlanta. I wish I had the Pilot pack, I have Performance and Plus though.

The Volvo dealership that's close won't do basic maintenance so I guess I'll be doing my alignment and brakes and everything myself and hope that I don't have any major problems.

Just waiting for it to become a monthly sub to have navigation and stuff like this. Every manufacturer is going that direction and it pisses me off. If Tesla will hold out on that one thing, that'll swing buyers their way. Nobody likes buying a car equipped with nav and features, and then months/years later being told "by the way, those things you already paid for... yeah you need to keep shelling out for it or we're going to take them away."

so the new tire we JUST put on kept leaking

took it to discount tire thinking it was mounted bad

    nope

cracked rim. Big ole chunks missing- as you can see. That’s the rear tire under water. Leak is just above that red tip

ordered a refurbished one for. $700

I think she needs a CT!

    life is good

and it’s not like she does track days.

    She just drives it

I’m still puzzled as to how she could take big chunks out of the rim and not cause any other visible damage.

and of course you can’t simply ask them

    they get all balled up

3days wait time on rim. Coming from NY state

After 4 months of being in our new house, I finally got around to installing the 50amp/220v charger. I didn't zap myself, something I'm not good at while working on electrical. But I took all the precautions working on 220v - I like my heart pumping.

It's been a while since I've posted anything, so an update:
    • Just rolled 28,000 miles on the M3P. Everything with the car has been pretty much flawless.
    • My tires are shot. I even had 8,000-9,000 miles on my winter tires before I moved to the desert, so the wear was not great. A lot of torque eats tires. Going down to my 18" wheel when it comes time to change.
    • My wife nailed a pothole in Scottsdale. Somehow, everything stayed intact. The wheel took some road rash, but the tire held air and the wheel is straight. Lucky!
    • The free FSD is scary. I like driving my car. However, it's pretty impressive tech - I'll give them that.
    • I got a really dumb vanity plate to fit in with the Tesla nerds. The M3 is known in our house as the golf cart, so I went with "CLUBKAR".
