M3LR not available to order until 2023 now. Possible price drop to qualify for the EV rebate? :monocle:

It just passed right now. The new EV credit will go into effect Jan 1, 2023. Not sure if it's retroactive or which order dates qualify for the credit

Unfortunately, it’s not retroactive and M3LR was dropped for the rest of the year because the demand was insane. This is straight from Elon’s mouth.

M3LR has def seen a gigantic increase in wait times with fuel pricing.

When Tesla re-releases the Roadster it’ll probably be game over for Lucid.
Some are already thinking Lucid will go bankrupt as the costs to produce EV’s are not cheap and other manufacturers, such as Rivian are finding that out.

    agreed.

say what you will...unless you have superchargers like Tesla, other EV's are a hard sell.

The Lightning takes all night to charge at home. not good.

and the roadster will easily be in the 8.5 second 1/4 mile range...and have whoopie cushions.

    good review.

yes, it's wide. especially the "hips" of the car.
rim rash....yep. Home depot had some flat black latex paint that was spot on.
rear seat rattle ...yes...but the fix is to cover the metal part with electrical tape. BAM it's fixed.
the stereo is quite awesome. the sub is touchy tho'..it's either on hi or too low. B-52's "Love Shack" came on...sounded better than it should. Rush "The Camera Eye" is the best so far.

I drove it yesterday afternoon after a 2 week hiatus....it's as awesome as ever.

since it remembers my phone...all the settings go back to what I like.

I remain sad that the horn can no longer be "La Cucaracha" damn safety guys.

    I'll add:

Electric motors are most efficient around 1800rpm's...however, it's marginal. the normal efficiency range for all rpm's is between 85% & 95%

so, i don't see an advantage to gears - other than top speed....maybe.

I love my stock system in the M3P. Best sounding stock stereo I’ve ever had. I love how you can adjust it all too!

I know :( I wish they didn’t step in so we can play whatever we want, while in stock opposed to park.

Yep, just top speed is all I can think of, other than a sound by dropping gears and going

In case anyone is curious how well Teslas cameras work.

    https://youtu.be/Ye6oeHToox0

Someone keyed one near the house at a local shopping center. The story made the news, faces blasted all over and they were caught within a week.

Reminds me of the F-100 Ford built for SEMA this year. Sooooo cool!

    https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a38137530/ford-f100-eluminator/

I think electric swapping old vehicles is going to be a big market going forward. An EV swap takes care of a lot of the big issues with old vehicles! Obviously you don't get the cool noises that most people are going after, but there are pros and cons to everything.
