I'm at my oncologist appt now. Warmed up to 2 degrees. Remote started my truck. Went out after 10 minutes. Got into a warm cab and drove over here. Already have a near full tank though. Filled up last Friday when it was a warm 30 degrees before the front dropped down. Easy peasy!

Yeah, the slow charging is definitely a thing. Agree with you there.

I hope it goes back to market driven demand, Tesla will be the only one standing

Whatever this forum told me to do
i was going to bend this statement into a disparaging comment on ev related credits

but, it would belabor the topic. As we all know there is a large contingency of folks that would not consider an ev without gov help

    like solar panels

If the product isn't affordable without taxing everyone, including those that don't want it, then that's the business' problem to figure out.

I have to admit that if there were tax credits when buying an awd Skyline GT-R I'd take advantage of that. :anonymous:

I've said it before but I'm in a weird spot, and I don't like it.

I can afford the Model Y without the credit, but it's not financially smart to do so. It would be like having the option to pay a $7,500 market adjustment, or not.
As much as I don't like contributing to the theft of our future, the damage was done before I applied for the credit.

Same situation for the "free" Covid money, I knew it was a terrible idea from the start.

I didn’t realize how many folks rely on supercharging . I’m surprised apartments and condos don’t install or contract ev stations

Whatever this forum told me to do
    this. me too

Apts could make an extra buck offering charge stalls.

we've had boo-koo apts built near our Supercharger (Rudy's league city). and you can tell the increase in usage.

EVs are too expensive without subsidies. That's one of the biggest arguments against them, and "green" energy. They aren't viable in the marketplace without cheating.

I wouldn't buy one without the credit either. I wouldn't feel guilty about using it, though. Just clawing back some of the overtaxing we're all subjected to. Don't lose any sleep over it, Zach. You've more than paid for that credit in past taxes.

Who would not take a discount lol. Thats like saying hey, buy a 6 pack of diet A&W at $4.99 each or get 5 for $12? Now, can we afford five of them ($20) or does it make more sense to get them for $12 because it’s being offered? Exactly.

Does anyone walk into a dealership and pay full price for a vehicle without haggling? No. You’d be a dumbass if you did. Now, Tesla does not haggle, but the credits apply soooo

    Thanks @GODZILLA I won't lose any sleep. :D

I think the Model 3&Y are right in line with similar ICE vehicle prices, without the tax credit.
