It's exactly like the other cyber trucks, just wrapped. Same bed as the others. It has a rolling/sliding cover.

Easy to miss the tidbits if you don't follow/aren't interested. Example: Scroll up and you'll see I thought I was sleuthing out some new shit, and @T-Rex266 and @Bob were just like :bored: "Old news, bruh."

Some are selling their CT reservations on EBay for $10k, plus the price of the truck (no pricing is out yet, but I’m thinking $90k+ for the dual motor. Tri motor (guessing) will be $105-110k. Again, only speculating as they have not released pricing yet.

Yes I am sure the ultra rich folks with lots and lots of money will not be able to live without one. I saw that post earlier, those be the folks that can say Looky here I HAVE ONE!:) the more this keeps going the more I am leaning to this might be a FAD thingy,,, but who knows??? The prices are unobtainable for many, but if it’s for sale there will be those that pay what ever it costs and think nothing of it. :)

We have all seen that the last three years with vehicle purchases.

Son of a bitch. I almost bought a reservation for giggles when they first opened them and the slot was like $100 or something silly cheap like that...

Since you're bringing up possible hidden Easter eggs, Tesla had this slide in one of its recent presentations (I think it was Investor Day earlier this year):
    close-up.jpg

At home induction charging. There's been no mention of this by Elon or any other employee but shortly before they introduced Tesla tequila, they snuck a picture of it in a quarterly earnings slide as well:

    This

Geologists have discovered a massive lithium deposit within the McDermitt Caldera along the Nevada-Oregon border, potentially revolutionizing the global lithium supply chain. The deposit is estimated to contain 20 to 40 million metric tonnes of lithium, with unprecedented quality that surpasses any previous find.

I thought I saw a report that said they will have plenty for a good long time. Maybe if anyone will be allowed to go after it? :). HA!

They'll get to it. No price is too high and nothing is too sacred. Anything and everything will be sacrificed at the altar of "green"... for the greater good, of course.

Be glad they don't charge for the weight because of the added wear. You'd be paying what heavy trucks pay.

Yuhp... OR does this on EVs as well; many of the state's and local 'initiatives' are taxed through the pump... Wouldn't be fair to us ICE for you EV guys to by-pass taxation

It's still bypassing it. $200 a year for 10K-15K miles vs the tax on gas, especially because EVs are heavier and do more wear/damage to the roadways than an equivalent ICE vehicle.

The model Y is a 3 row? The Explorer is.

The model Y is the only one that is not solidly heavier than the examples grabbed with quick google-fu.

And the Y is heavier than some non-3rd row midsize SUVs.

3rd row is optional on the Y, I'm guessing the curb weight listed on Google would be the heaviest available?

Point is, there's not a landslide difference in similar vehicles.

I'll even bet EVs do less damage to roads than an ICE vehicle of the same weight. EV specific tires are all about minimizing rolling resistance for the best possible range. ;)
