I didn't watch the video with sound, so did the truck turn over when it died and just wouldn't start?

I was just gonna ask the folks here about this. This has happened each time I disconnect the battery as well. Then no issue. Also did it when I replaced with a new battery. I assume this is supposed to happen but don't know why.

The truck would start when I turned the ignition key, but would shut down immediately after.

Interesting, I’ve been speeding in the desert here in bumfuck CA many times in whoops and oh shit moments where I thought something broke and never had that happen, glad it worked out for you and it was nothing serious.

Thanks. I just didnt do a great job of tightening the clamp for the intake hose and throttle body connector. I made sure I gave it some extra elbow grease this time around!

Same exact thing with mine. What’s interesting is that the last time I worked on my truck, I connected the battery terminal and then waited approx 10 mins to start it. And it did start the first time..

Sweet!! I was just taking a wag based on my experience with my junky gmc. I think its pretty rare to have problems with the Tundra.

Good that is was a quick, easy and free fix.

A little bothersome that something like that will keep it from running.

The mind runs crazy with possibilities had the dealership gotten the truck into their shop, found the mega easy fix and then.................what they might have told the OP the problem is/was and what the cost is.

Hey y'all I have an '07 I'm driving and it's been doing this same thing... I'll get maybe a block down the road and the engine will just shut off and wont start back up... I've tried cleaning the throttle body and making sure all hoses are tight but the problem is persisting. When I hook it up to the computer it get zero codes... I've seen videos where it could be a connection on the fuel tank where a wire connection is messing with the fuel pump but I'm at a loss here... need suggestions badly...

That sounds like a bad fuel pump to me. I once had an MR2 that did the exact same thing. Will run for a little bit and then the pump heats up and stalls.

I got it to run for most of the day yesterday, I changed the oil and cleaned the engine to try to get some of the sensors cleaned up a bit. It seemed to run fine all day and now this morning once leaving work it just died died.. would run for 20 secs and then die again... could it be an alternator issue?

There is a current recall for fuel pump issues. We received our notice last week and Toyota is working on a solution ‍♂️

I don't think it is supposed to happen. I just replaced my stock Toyota battery with an Interstate battery. Cranked right after with no problems nor any problems since.

So i caved and took it to a dealership.... they're saying its the battery but honestly I dont think that's true... they said the terminals were corded but I had just changed them before I brought it in... they said it runs fine but I'm looking at 120 miles back home....

Ask them if they will pick you up if they say it wont break down and it does.

That is a huge vacuum leak. Bet there are some MAF codes in the ecu. Glad you caught it.
