I’ve erased them with the scanner and they keep popping up now. Speaking with a mechanic he’s suggesting injectors.

    Too many, but not enough....
That's a pretty extreme jump imo. I would get all new coils before committing to that

I’d verify it isn’t a broken valve spring. You should get a dtc indicating a bad injector if that’s what’s happening.

Does sound logical though. OP has already swapped coils and the misfire remains at the same cylinder. If he were able to swap two injectors, that may shed some light. Irritatingly, the passenger side of the engine is a little more difficult to pull the injectors.

Sounds reasonable, if it's within the OP's skillset. There is kind of a lot of shit to get out of the way though. LOL

Was thinking fuel/injectors too. Might try some sea foam in the gas, check the fuel injector wires too.

It sounds like they've swapped 2 and 4 and the miss remains at #2. But no, no new coils so far.

Mechanic is coming out Saturday. I just don’t have the knowledge and tools to check injectors, valve spring, or a vacuum leak. He said he has a spare new coil he can test to make sure and look over what I did but that he wants to check the injectors next if that doesn’t seem to fix it.

Would you guys pay for a compression check? He says he would rather do that first. The thing is he said with doing that he will have to charge me for the plug re install too.

Probably a good place to start. If compression is the same it’s probably a fuel issue. If low a problem with a valve or worse.

Yeah, a compression test is actually not that expensive to do. If you really wanted to go cheap, you can buy a kit from harbor freight for about 40 bucks. I have used it before its actually decent quality.

You can rent/loan a compression tester at Autozone or O’Reilly.

He was able to narrow it down to a fuel injector. Is there a brand you guys recommend.

I think best bet are the OEM Denso ones, if I’m not mistaken. It may be possible to replace just one if OEM but I think most will recommend to do all 8 so their matched and same condition.
