I got tired of fighting with poor running (from sitting) gas trimmers, went to a Greenworks Pro 80V trimmer and blower, best money I've spent in a while. Trimmer will go all summer on 2 charges (I only have 1/4 acre),
and the blower will bo the yard on 2 batteries.

A little fuel stabilizer in the tank before winter does wonders for my lawn mower.

    I have these, highly recommend.

the 8ah battery is more than enough power for most people’s use. I only use 25% of the battery to do everything around here.

Yup. I’m done with little gas engines. Shocking what that Milwaukee can do. Bought the changeable head for the pole saw and trimmer and found that they are all beasts. Next is gonna be the chain saw.

I have been running a dewalt 40v string trimmer for three years now with zero issue. It was even refurbished when I got it so who knows how old it really is!
Thing has tons of power and the battery will last for a couple/few hours of run time.

The best thing is just to use ethanol-free gas like you buy at a marina for boats. No carburetor gumming or diaphragms being eaten up by ethanol.

True but to get that here, you have to buy 91 octane (somewhere other than Petro-Canada), which costs 25% more. It's worth it for my dad's boat because it runs like shit on ethanol but so far so good on the lawnmower I got used from a friend who definitely didn't put premium in it.

I was rebuilding the diaphragms in my carburetors on my two strokes three years ago I switched over to running marine fuel which your right is more money but no more carburetor rebuilds or any problems.

An electric weed whacker is ok but around here real men don't run anything other than gas lawn mowers.

Get a rebuilt motor in there and you might want a pedal commander to keep it from happening again. While you're at it, consider headers since you don't need to pass smog.

10-4 on the marine gas. The alcohol content in regular gas often acts as a cleaning agent and loosens crud in these small diaphragm carburetors leading to not starting or hard to keep running. I have an Echo trimmer and like it much better than the Stills that I have had. Starts easier and runs every time for me
