    Hi,
If you have Backflip MX4 hard cover together with Elevate Rack, could you please share the T—slot installation details? According to the RealTruck they can’t be used together. TIA

The MX4 picks up its outermost edge as it folds. I also don't see how an Elevate rack system would be able to play with a MX4 cover.

People have installed it and it works. People in this forum have done it.

I *think Bak has a new bed cover that includes t slot rails compatible with the elevate rack. If you're using the older cover with no t slots I *think you need to install the rack, then the cover goes over the rack mounts (mounts clip onto the bed rails).

I've been looking into this setup for some time, that's my understanding.

The Elevate Rack is no longer compatible with BAK hard folding tonneau covers. The redesign of the tonneau cover and upgraded installation hardware interfere with the installation of the Elevate TS rails. You can still use the Elevate TS rails with hard roll-up or soft roll-up tonneau covers, and the Elevate FS rack can be added to tonneau covers that include T-slot rails, like Retrax XR models and the BAK X4ts.

Okay - so what about this makes it not compatible anymore? Why was the BAK Mx4 redesigned?

likely cause the MX4 doesn't need to drop the stock rails anymore, and you can install the whole system right onto the OE rail system as is for the MX4.

Doh... makes sense - though i don't see why the elevate rails could be just placed under the bak system, and just use different OE rail mounting points.
