Found a Iceco JP42 on Amazon deals. It is $441. Is that a good deal?

Or this one would be $598 after coupon

That is a pretty decent deal. I doubt you could save much more if you waited for black friday or something, but by then prices will likely go up again like everything else so I would pull the trigger now. Plus Amazon is good with returns and you get additional savings if you use their credit card. If you are a heavy amazon user like me, it makes alot of sense to get the credit card.

I just edited the post for a VL45 as well. I do have an Amazon credit card. How would I save more with using it?

    Yes!
I have been using a Bodega 59 Quart off of Amazon. I've had it for 6 months now and it works great. It's dual zone, so I can run a fridge AND freezer. ARB, Smittybilt, and Dometic make great fridge/freezers as well, but the premium price is why I went with this no name brand. I read the reviews, and when compared to reviews from the big names, I pulled the trigger and went this route. Couldn't be happier.

The VL45 you linked is not a good deal. I bought mine not more than 4 months ago for just under 500 including tax. I would definitely wait on that one.

If you pay for Amazon purchases with the amazon card it gives you 5% off in addition to any other deal or sale. Only thing is it gets paid in rewards, which is fine by me because like I said, I use amazon alot since i hate going to the store, except costco.

Copy that. I still think the JP42 might be big enough for milk, juice, some meat, etc when camping. it would be used in conjunction with the camper fridge once its at temp.

For the cost difference between the 2, the extra 3 liters of space with the VL45 wont be noticeable. I also use a traditional cooler in conjuction for things like cans, juices an non sensitive stuff.

Edit: VL45 has a 20% off coupon on Amazon now, combined with your card for prime day thats 26% off, I would get that.

The exterior temp reading is 4 to 5 degrees lower than actual from my experience. I usually set to 28 degrees for refrigeration.

I might order one of the internal temp sensors. I saw some video reviews where they used them.

Yeah it would be worth it, they arent too expensive. Luckily I have access to a several hundred dollar Fluke thermometer from my work that I used.

This one is $24 and has 2 sensors. I can use 1 in the cooler and the other for the Travel trailer fridge.

    Good info here.
I'm considering a Dometic CFX3-25 (the smallest one) to supplement my regular ice cooler.
I'd like to be able to keep perishable items that I like to grill from the ice water float deal as well.
It's usually just Me, and sometimes one other person, so the small size appeals to my program.
Also, at 28 lbs. I shouldn't be as reluctant to use it versus the larger / heavier models.
Does anyone know if Dometic cooler fridges ever go on sale?
