I've had mine installed for several thousand miles now (in the middle of a 5k mile roadtrip). I didn't take accurate measurements but here she is. CB +2 in rear, Eibach 2s on preset height with 1 CB shim on driver's side. 20210707_194714.jpg

Truck needed an oil change mid trip.

What size tires you running? I'm leaning towards these over the Falcons.

Saw that. However, I'm going to buy new. They'll get a workout with where I work/live, and I won't be headed outside 50 miles from here for at least 6 months so shipping would be a wash.

Was hoping for a little more height in front. Sort of surprised. 3” coach builder shackles in rear and I still have a pretty good rake.

    Rear:

    3” coach builder shackles
Firestone ride ride with 5# (verified)
    Eibach shocks

    Front:

eibach stage 2 set at 2.75” (I thought)
    Jba UCA
    2 shims on drivers side
    1 shim on passenger side

No weight in back yet so that’ll probably settle. Gonna take wheels down tomorrow and have tires installed. Have alignment scheduled for 8/23. But test drive was fine but I won’t drive it again until after alignment.

Went in for alignment. Little issue. They found after alignment it pulled to right slightly. They put back on rack and double checked everything. And they realized the ride height in front was off. I have the same amount of thread showing under each adjuster on both side. (2) 1/4” shims on driver’s side and (1) 1/4” shim on passenger side…yet passenger side is sitting 1” higher on a leveled alignment rack.

Thoughts? Their thinking with the ride height corrected the alignment should improve. But why do I have an inch difference left to right? My reading says the coil overs should be adjusted equal and the lean accounted for with the shims.

Alignment being post lift they should have corrected it already. Sounds like they're suggesting it dropped after lifting it.

The side to side delta is normal, although an inch is a lot. I did a lot of adjusting on mine and the typical 1/4" shim is pretty accurate for leveling it, so as long as there is one more shim on the DS than the PS it should be level, all other settings being the same.

You could lower the PS perch by 3/8" or so and it will be close. You have to remember the gas tank is on the DS so the height also changes if its full or empty, but only by about 1/4" from my measurements.

Right. That’s what I thought. So why an inch? There is literally nothing in the truck except the cap (equally distributed). I installed the lift. Just subbed out the alignment to this shop. Like you say I wouldn’t expect exact the same side to side but an inch?

Sorry if I missed it somewhere but what size tires did you go with and how do you like the rugged treks? Stuck between them, ridge grapplers, AT3 XLT, and Baja Boss A/T. I know…. Way to narrow it down right… Maybe I’ll just get one of each.

35x12.50r20. Look good. Great tread. But they took a ton of weight to balance.

Just trying to go through my head possible causes. I did the back first and then one front side at a time. I torqued UCA with weight on the vehicle (Jack under the lower shock mount and weight on that). Did that both sides. LCA were adjusted on the alignment rack. Can’t imagine that loosen those would allow suspension to sag.

Got it in to the fire station (most level floor I have access to). The rear seems to be the culprit. With no air in the air bags and 40 psi in each tire. Measurements from the floor to the wheel well measured through the center of the wheel.

    Rear passenger 42.25
    Rear drivers 41.5

    Front passenger 41.875
    Front drivers 41.375

There is a 3/4” difference between sides when measuring between the frame and the rear axle (vertical height).

I almost always have between 1/2 and full tank of fuel. Always trying to keep it full except when in use. So that’s 230# on the drivers side. Hard to believe that would cause that much difference. I’m going to run the tank down this week and remeasure in the same spot with an emptier tank.

I pulled the trigger on the front and rear today. $949 shipped seemed hard to beat at that price. I plan on to run them at the leveled setting with toytec shackles at 1” in the rear. Still undecided on tires but probably 33” height. I like the looks of Ridge Grapplers best I think.

So it wasn’t the fuel. Ran it down to E and no change. There was also almost no difference when I got in the truck and I’m 200#. So I didn’t think that was it. I’m suspecting maybe how I torqued the shackles. I did install the new bushings and I swear I torqued them both the same. The hunt continues….

Weird… I wonder if somehow you ended up with 2 different sized shackles?

My fronts came in yesterday. I dropped it off the have them installed, the Toytec shackles and 275/65/20 Recon Grapplers should be here today. Im hoping I don't regret going with the 275 instead of a wider size. I was afraid of rubbing issues with the wider tires.

Debating adding the 1” shackles to give the rear just a touch of rake. It sits perfectly level now 24” from center hub to fender on all 4 corners.

they are 999 they also offer a 5% discount code for military and first responders which got them to the 949

Fair warning the rears are out of stock and won’t ship until October. I did not know that when I ordered them but the fronts are in stock and I had them in like 3 days.

Im about to rip this whole thing out and go back to stock. This lean is really annoying. It’s the first thing my eye goes to every time now and the fact that it won’t drive straight is rather aggravating.
I’ve checked and retorqued shackles on flat ground with weight on vehicle. I’ve driven it in driveway with loose shackle bolts and then retorqued. I’ve checked air pressure in airbags. I have a 1” lean in on drivers side in rear that won’t come out of it. Can’t rule out that it wasn’t there from the factory. But adding any shim or block in the back is just a bandaid in my opinion.

Im gonna remove and swap shocks and see if one of them is limiting down travel.

    makes 0 sense

Is your frame warped for some reason?

I did not notice any discrepancy with the stock suspension. But I didn’t really look either. So anything is possible. Definitely nothing has happened since I’ve owned it. And I got it new in April and currently has about 5k miles on it.

Your measurements are from the ground to the fender well. Is the measurement from the bottom of the rim to the fender well off by an inch as well... e.g. are your rear tires the same size? Assuming they are, but just throwing things out there.
