Just wanted to add a note for anyone that may need to search this later on. The tophat for the Stage 2 doesn't use a 3/8 bolt like the Fox, Icon, Kings, etc. It uses a M10-1.5. I needed longer bolts because I wanted to use a .25" shim and needed a slightly longer bolt (wanted to keep spring preload the same).

    Yeah I just went through this. M10x1.5 30mm if you’re adding a 1/4”shim.

Exactly what I bought! Did you use the 30mm on both sides or just the drivers side?

I just picked mine up form Ace. I got grade 8.8 only because they only had 3 grade 10.9. I also grabbed some flat washers and some lock washers. I think total was less than $10. Home Depot I went to the night before did not carry them.

Any other tips and tricks welcome as I haven’t installed mine yet. I’m still waiting for my +3’s and shims from CB. And finished product pictures.

My kit arrives tomorrow. Won't be waiting longer than a day to install! I'll probably just drop the passenger side so its level with wherever the driver side is and call it good. Then some 285/70r18s on stock wheels and we're there!

Got mine on Amazon, grade 10 and were $15 for 10 of them. My local Ace didn’t have that size.

I will. As of now, the box from
Eibach is sitting in my office. Haven’t opened it all up yet, but when I do, I’ll upload some photos of the product.

I’ve got a stage 1 kit sitting in my office as well haha. Trying to decide if I’m going to install myself or not.

Having to reuse parts from my current suspension makes it a lot more difficult

If you dont mind me asking, what was the install price? I was quoted $600 to install front coilivers, shackles, alignment, and shackle bushings.

Thats a good price. I have a local guy that does a lot of my welding work, for stuff like BMCs. He also works on Toyotas on the side, so its about 350 w/o alignment.

I work 12hr days doing mechanical, electrical and pneumatic work for a living, I dont have any desire to spend my days off doing any more of that than I have to. Otherwise, I'd throw it on myself. But, $600 is a good deal as long as the shop is good.

Anyone know the lag time on CB or JBA orders? Just curious.

Stock preset on the coil overs and (1) .25" shim on each side. Coachbuilder +2s in the rear.

Ill give a drive impression once its aligned, probably next week.

Anyone one who bought the stage 2s will be pleased. They ride like OEM with all the little issues figured out. Cruised over the large speed bumps without drama, almost as floaty as the Fox Pros were, but not quite there. Which, in a way is a good thing. The Pro ride was super plush, pure comfort, but not terribly sporty for road use. Clearly geared toward higher speed off road use.

Highway driving with the Eibachs is plush. Slow speed (<5mph) over imperfections seemed perfectly dampened. Mind you Ive only put on ~30 miles so far and the springs will change a bit over the next few hundred miles. But, I have no complaints at the cost. They ride like they could cost about 1.5x as much.

FWIW Ive ran 6112/5160s on a Tacoma as well as 5100s. These are nicer, but it is a different ride. For the Tundra Ive ridden in the Sport models, OR, and Pro now. Clearly better than the two formers, so far a bit more controlled than the Pro, but slightly less plush.

I wouldnt spend the extra 2k though, if I had to do it again.

Other than the ride, the tech stuff.

They seem to be preset higher than 2" as I assumed. The front is about 3/4" lower than the rear. Beforehand the rear was 2.25" higher stock. I added +2s and was aiming for a presumed 2.5" lift up front with the CB shims.

Looks like the end result was a 2.75" front lift. I will likely settle the other .25" over the next week, as springs usually do. I didnt preadjust for the L to R difference and the passenger side is right around .5" higher. I will adjust that once I see how much the springs settle.

What was the sale price on the front coilovers? I realize the sale is over, but found some for sale locally and wondered what the sale price had been.

Cant remember exactly, but it was 10-15% off. I paid $901.80 and free shipping for the stage 2 front and back set. Currently that set is listed at $1002, so 10% less than current. I dont recall the part number for just the fronts, nor do I see them listed on their site.

Just and FYI, these can be adjusted w/o removing the tires. Just lift the front up with a jack and you have enough room between the tie rod and hub to rotate a 1/4 turn at a time.

Just finished leveling it out side to side in about 30 mins.
