Definitely interested in the option for a truck without Qi package. I’d settle for one side charge, but one on each side would be awesome! SR5 4x2

 

The charging piece itself is good to go.

Finalization of mount and finish is going on as the prototype is transitioned to final product.

interested in the Qi option for my iphones. I have a charger already in the arm rest but one below the radio would be great.

 

I cannot stress this enough:

Our charger will not fit 2021 and older Tundras.

These charging products only intended for 3rd gen Tundras.

Just want to make sure to manage expectations as I have been receiving inquiries from Gen 2/2.5 guys as well. That said, here is the charging plate created specifically for the non-qi applications. The charging times seem to be even better than the charger currently being tested for use in qi-equipped trucks but we still have yet to do controlled tests. For non qi-equipped trucks, the customer will have to purchase the charging plate panel from Toyota.

EEF is not an authorized distributor of OEM parts and cannot provide them. However, the part number will be provided for purchase separately.

Below is the working prototype. The purple helps us identify which units are for testing and which will be production versions. I would recommend holding off purchasing any Toyota parts until the plate is actually released.

Turns out making something from scratch is pretty hard.

  • For 2022+ Toyota Tundras with factory-installed Qi charger

  • Requires removal of factory Qi charger
  • Placement of EEF charger in factory Qi location
• EEF Full Plate (FP) Charger
  • For 2022+ Toyota Tundras with or without factory-installed Qi charger
  • Requires console disassembly
  • Requires purchase of additional Toyota part (for non-Qi enabled trucks)
  • EEF charger built-in to charger plate that will bolt into Toyota part and work/appear as factory Qi charger

Pictures below show the latest two Lite prototypes and the latest FP prototype (purple is for in-house tracking of versions as this one is actually version 14). Final product version may vary.

Full props to the people involved in making this product as a ton of work had to go into creating a product that not just fits but performs as expected. These prototype products had to be designed, printed, and assembled from scratch. Most of the time spent has gone into the R&D of unit performance while making them simple enough for mass production and reducing production costs that could potentially drive up unit sale prices. That said, the goal was to release the Lite version for <$100 and an FP version for <$150. As official production nears, we will have a more accurate cost per unit available.
